CSDA Design Group is a network of 30+ professionals located in San Francisco & Los Angeles. To support our clients and their service needs we are organized into two primary practice areas: Architecture and Acoustics. Our work reflects a commitment to sustainability and enriching our expertise in the markets we serve.
We view each project as a unique opportunity to create planning and design solutions that advance the well-being of our team and our community. As part of our Acoustics practice, we provide expert sound insulation services that include acoustical testing, program management, design, construction administration, closeout, and post-construction acoustical testing.

Services
Founded in 1952, CSDA is most proud of its six decades of quality design. Under the leadership of Bill Corlett and Peter Skaer, the firm rose to distinction for such unique projects as the 1960 Winter Olympic facilities at Squaw Valley, numerous technologically sophisticated projects for the Department of Defense and educational facilities for all levels of instruction.
Architecture: To successfully guide the planning, design and construction of educational facilities, CSDA Design Group carefully considers the curriculum, technological, social and environmental elements of each project.
Our designs incorporate sustainability; allow for technology-intensive teaching and learning; provide flexible, healthy, attractive, comfortable and secure facilities; present opportunities for schools to function as "centers" for their communities; and reflect the unique identity of each school and its neighboring community.

At CSDA, we recognize that each client and every project is unique. We listen carefully to understand each client's goals and challenges. We collaborate with stakeholders to define a shared vision. We are then able to create thoughtful, inspiring, innovative, cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
Clients appreciate my engaging and pragmatic approach. I often use visuals, such as acoustical heat maps, to convey technical information in a way that is easy to understand. Design is not just what a space looks like, but what it inspires us to do. We see the design of our educational spaces as the origin for true creativity and collaboration in which community and inspiration are at the heart.
Our proficiency lies primarily in public facilities design providing a wealth of experience in multi-use buildings, libraries, public restrooms, Kindergarten and TK classrooms, administration offices, food service, gymnasiums, play courts and athletic fields. Hot button issues for our public sector clients often include knowledge of the Public Contract Code, ADA compliance, security, and selection of efficient equipment and durable materials.
