Lozelle's mission is to pick up where the health and wellness education may have left out in the subject of financial management. She loves it when clients experience the "Ah-Ah moment", as they begin to understand all the elements of their accounting and bookkeeping cycle and reality of controlling their business finances.
As much as you need to know your operations, if you don't understand the finance side and how to do the business, you're never going to be successful. So you might be the best operator or visionary, but if you don't understand the finance side. I'm successful because I know the finance side, but I also know operations; it's not an accident.
Accounting consists of many elements as it relates to the financial side of your health and wellness business. The beginning stage of accounting is Bookkeeping. Bookkeeping is the foundation of Accounting. Bookkeeping is the recording of the daily financial transactions in conformity with GAAP, General Accepted Accounting Principles.
Unfortunately, financial/business literacy is not taught in very much detail in school. If this subject is covered, the lessons can be found in some educational curriculum as "Accounting 101" or "Recordkeeping", however, the concepts may be hit home or become relevant to your situation until you are actually in business.
Technology has changed the way we do business, however it is just tool. The fundamental of accounting has not changed. Speaking with Lozelle about accounting and business needs was like a breath of fresh air! I came across The Body of Accounting after searching for accounting services for health professionals. While I anticipated professionalism, I did not expect the warmth and generosity of Lozelle during my consultation call. During the free consultation process, Lozelle provided feedback that my very small business likely did not need professional services for accounting. She then very kindly provided education and resources with no expectation of payment. She even shared some referrals for tax accountants.

I can't say enough amazing things about Lozelle! I found her through an article about finances in Massage Magazine and hired her immediately. I do not have the financial background I should have for my business and needed someone patient to explain finances to me. Lozelle went above and beyond to make sure I understood the information. She also made quick little video tutorials that was great to share with my partner so she could learn too. She also sent notes from each session so I could have them forever. I found Lozelle while searching online for Holistic Accountants. Lozelle has been everything I have hoped for and wanted in a bookkeeper. I found Lozelle by recommendation of a colleague for help with my healthcare business bookkeeping.
