Stoneside Veterinary Hospital is proud to serve Waller, TX and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. Dr. Tim Gaffrey was born in Redlands, California and grew up in California and Virginia. He played tennis and ran cross country in high school and is an Eagle Scout. As an undergrad, Dr. Gaffrey majored in forestry at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and originally aspired to be a firefighter (can you spot him in the picture of the forest firefighters?).
Medicine - diagnosis and management of skin and ear trouble, gastrointestinal disorders, arthritis and pain management, heart and lung problems, ocular disorders, endocrine (hormonal) conditions, kidney disease, and much more. Surgery - spays, neuters, laceration and wound repair, masses and lumps (biopsy and removal), and much more as needed for specific medical problems.
Stoneside Veterinary Hospital welcomes applicants looking for a career in veterinary medicine. We are an AAHA accredited, general small animal medicine facility equipped with in-house lab, radiology, laser therapy, and much more. We offer high quality veterinary medicine and surgery for dogs, cats, and some exotics in an enriching and friendly atmosphere.

A few months ago one of my kitties got sick. Over the ensuing months, the doctor did everything he could to help get her well. But it was cancer, and treatment would have been expensive and she was not all that likely to survive the surgery required. Even if she did, it might buy her a few months. When he told me this, he seemed almost as anguished by the news as my wife and I. He gave us some meds for her to keep her comfortable for the next week or so, and we scheduled the time to say goodbye for good.

Professional, friendly and incredibly smart vet! We have been going to Stoneside for 4 years and absolutely love Dr. Gaffrey and the entire staff. Dr. Gaffrey takes the time to explain your pet's needs in laymen terms and he is very thorough. He was able to diagnose our little mixed breed dog with something that had only been found in one case study in the 1970's. She is 11 years old and very healthy thanks to him! We couldn't be happier with this vet and you will not be disappointed either. Give them a try.

Our sweet 7 year old baby Kali's heart gave up on our way trying to get to A&M's veterinary cardiologist, and we pulled over to the closest vet we could find when she started going into distress and we couldn't have found a more caring compassionate group in our time of need. Although they could not help her heart, they helped as we rushed her in and did all they could. They continued to let us have all the time we needed with her and we are so grateful to Ally who made us perfect paw and nose prints and a charm bottle for her fur clippings. ♥️ Thank you all again so much.

This vet is amazing! He doesn’t rush you when you have an appt. He’s very detailed and let’s you know up front how your pet is. He’s seen multiple of our dogs and has been awesome! I just had a puppy come down with Parvo and from the very beginning he told me how serious it can be and couldn’t guarantee anything. He was so caring for her and when… she got worse he recommended her go to 24/7 which we did take her and after 9 days of being at his facility and the other one total - she has made it. His staff is very nice and caring. They were so sweet to my puppy

We had our second appointment for our rescue puppy today with Dr.Gaffrey and the Stoneside team.
Everyone in the office is so kind and courteous. Dr. Gaffrey took the time to answer ALL of my questions. He is a very compassionate veterinarian. I appreciate the attentiveness of everyone at the office.

Zeus got his stitches out today - PERFECT healing from an expertly performed procedure at a fair price!
Cannot say enough fantastic things about Dr. Gaffrey and his staff - genuinely caring folks in it for all… the right reasons - hubby said Zeus happily shot right in the clinic for his appt - we think bacon cologne is somehow involved 🤣

Very pleased with this veterinary office. I used to drive all the way to Sugarland because i am very, very picky on who takes care of my baby girl. All the girls are very nice & helpful. I especially favor Ally because she gets stuck with us alot. My girl is old & uncooperative and Ally is very sweet, very gentle with her. Dr. Gaffrey explains everything really well. I need things explained well to me. What I HIGHLY appreciate is that they do NOT run unnecessary test like many of the veterinarians do. Prices are affordable. Options are explained. Stoneside Veterinary Hospital is amazing. The staff is super friendly. The facility is spotless and the location is convenient! The pricing is fair and in line or slightly lower than what other vets in the area charge. Dr. Gaffrey is incredible. He takes the time to explain what is going on with your pet in laymen terms. He treats my cat for feline asthma and our dog for Cushing's disease. At one point, our dog was not being herself.
