Services
Born and raised in Cypress, TX, Dr. Bethany Smith came to know and love veterinary medicine as a sophomore in high school. Dr. Smith completed her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University in 2002. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
Our hospital in Katy, TX is equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology, skilled doctors and registered veterinary technicians to ensure excellence in service. At Elyson Animal Hospital, we stress the importance of preventative care and will provide compassionate care and quality that your pet companions deserve.
At Elyson Animal Hospital we strive to create a positive, low-stress experience for you and your pet. We believe that separate housing for dogs and cats; minimizing wait time in the lobby and utilizing calming techniques enhance your pet's visit. Although we know we cannot completely eliminate the apprehension of a visit to our hospital, we love to spoil our patients using positive reinforcement and treats as distraction techniques.
At our state-of-the-art veterinary hospital in Katy, Texas, our experienced team provides some of the most cutting edge treatments in veterinary medicine. As a locally owned privately-owned animal hospital, our doctors can make independent decisions based on what is best for you and your pet. Our hands are not tied by the bylaws and quotas of a profit-focused corporation.
Dr. Smith has taken care of both of my dogs for over 15 years. Dr. Smith may be an excellent veterinarian, but more importantly, her gift is compassion and a true love of animals. She takes the time to listen to your concerns and then takes time to thoroughly spend time with your pet and inform you of all your options, so you can do what is best for your loved one.

The staff at Elyson Animal Hospital is so kind & caring. They are wonderful with pets and children alike, and Dr. Smith is compassionate, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable and professional. I am extremely glad I found Dr. Smith. She has been compassionate, kind and very honest. I had never had a vet with such good communication. She takes the time to explain and answer all of our questions and gives her honest opinion about possible outcomes ❤️ . I absolutely love this team! From the day I inquired about their services they have been extremely attentive and have taken great care of my fur baby! Their text message communication to remind me about appointments or simply ask how my puppy is feeling a day or two after vaccinations is top notch customer service. C-19 restrictions still prohibited in-person visit in the clinic, but the staff came out to greet us and our pets and were very gentle & sweet with our small dogs. Surprisingly, the Dr. even came out and spoke with me about the test results and what she found (this never happened w/previous vet). Then she called the next day to see if our pets were doing OK after their treatment (shots). Spectacular service!!! A++ Highly recommended, and we have found our Texas pet Healthcare home..... Glad to be part of the family.....

Great first visit for both of my dogs. They were checked out thoroughly and all of my questions were answered. Covid-19 safety measures were in place. The veterinarian came out to my car to discuss with me how the visit went which was also great (I’m used to phone call discussions with the vets for the last year). All staff were friendly and helpful. Pricing was reasonable too. Overall, happy with my experience.

Took my 100 lb Anatolian Shepherd here to get his teeth cleaned. Got text messages updating me as to what was going on. Dr. Smith called me after the procedure to discuss her findings and the concerns I had. Recieved a dental report card emailed to me with before and after pictures. Very cool! Prices are reasonable. Dr. Smith is awesome as is the nurse, Catherine! Everyone was very nice and professional. We will definitely be back. Rocky thanks you too!

Sadie and Bailey enjoyed their appointments at Elyson Animal Hospital today. Every staff member we met were friendly and welcoming to us and our furbabies. Dr. Smith took her time to explain everything and… happily answered all our questions and concerns. We are very pleased with our visit and so glad to have found our vet for Sadie and Bailey so close to home.
