Dansen's Auto Repair and Towing has been proudly serving the Waianae, HI area since 1996 and counting. Dansen Carvalho was working at CarQuest/Leeward Auto Parts as a Mechanic/Machinist/Parts Salesman/Delivery Driver when he found out that he would soon be a father. He knew he needed to increase his income in order to support three people instead of just himself.

First & foremost the receptionist (Shy) was fantastic. She listened to what I had to say, made logical recommendations, AND took me in when I had the time. After I dropped off my truck they performed the diagnostics first thing in the morning as promised, and gave me they honest professional diagnosis. Also, because my truck did not present the same issues it gave me they did not want me to incur repair costs for unnecessary work. The technician gave me recommendations, and did not charge me for their time. Honest, professional, and friendly company!!! God bless them!

Definitely, highly recommended! Took our van in for routine oil change, but they recognized a front end problem right away. I am pretty sure without them checking It out, we would’ve had some serious damage later. Thankful for them recognizing the issue and taking care of it right away, explaining to and showing us the damages. GREAT service all around!

Call me crazy, but something as simple as a safety check gives me anxiety. I have always had bad experiences. But dansens was beyond awesome. My registration had expired and they helped me set up an appointment to get that taken care of ( I didn't even ask for that but they still helped) the safety check was painless and so quick. Start to finish I was there 15 min. You can go after 1:00 but before 4:00 without an appointment (I suggest going as close to 1:00 as possible because it did start to get busy. ) highly recommend, they have a nice air conditioned area you can wait in while they

Kalena was quick & professional to schedule my car appointment to be diagnosed for $150. Upon arriving Chy was very welcoming, communicating & analyzing my car problems.

Called Dansen's and the operator was polite and helpful with setting up an appointment. I had an engine light and some trouble getting my truck started at times plus I had a dipstick handle broken which made the stick stuck in the oil reservoir tube. The front desk employee kindly offered to fix that problem since I needed an oil change as well. They removed the dipstick and replaced it with a new one and they found that my O2 sensor was disconnected which apparently caused my issue. They reconnected the sensor and changed my oil and my truck is as good as new. This was great because I took my

Dansen's just completed much needed service to my 2009 Acura TSX. Safety Check, Oil change, Tire Rotation, etc.

I brought in my 4 Runner for service early that morning because I needed the work to be completed before 2pm. I was impressed that all the work got completed not only on time but 2 hours early. I was so grateful for the friendly, honest, and hard working staff at Dansen's Auto Repair. Also in agreement with previous review. OMG: I hate places that try to take advantage of seniors and women.
I will check into reporting them to the authorities for my latest visit. I went there for an oil change and inspection like i had in the past. I have fairly new battery and Michilin tires with very few miles and the older gal in the office who apparently deals out all the bad news, had me go outside with her so no one else would hear and said that i needed $1200 worth of work which included a new battery and new tires due to "severe" cracking on the side walls of all 4 tires. I asked to show me and she had the young

Had my car towed from home to Dansens for an alignment only after hubby replaced control arms, balljoints, sway bar links, front strut assemblies/coilovers. They told hubby the control arms was 1/2 inch short & balljoints has to be replaced b/c hubby installed wrong parts. We almost gave in & pay $3389. for repairs & 4 brand new tires we did not need. We decided to not pay their price & tow the car to town to a shop we normally use. This shop told hubby that the parts hubby installed were fine & meets OE specs. We paid $213.68 for tirods installation & an alignment. The

Came in for a safety check with a scheduled appointment. Even though I was a few minutes late, they were very understandable and still took me in. They told me it would take just 10-20 minutes and before I got to sit down, it was done already! So so quick. They were even busy in the waiting area, but work very very fast with their customers. All my life I would wait hours and hours for a safety check when I could wait just 10-20 minutes here. Will come here more often for any needs!

I needed some repairs to my truck that was still covered under warranty. Dansen's took the time to show me everything that was wrong and that someone had actually been messing with my vehicle to try and cause me issues I guess. I really appreciate them taking the time and patience to handle my truck with care. Been going to them for 3 years now!

I was in desperate need of towing. I called my Roadside Assistance & in no time I got a call from Michelle. She let me know when she would be by my home & showed up promptly. She is amazing! For a small woman she hooked up my car on the flatbed in no time. She was very personable and professional. Thank you Michelle!

My dad brought his car for repairs they said the cars all good ready for pick up next day my dad breaks down in honokahale and calls Dansen's they tow it back to the shop and now tell him the car needs a tune up and he had to pay for the towing and another diagnostics test. I don't understand why he had to pay for the tow and another diagnostic test when the car wasn't fixed the first time....

It was the first time ever that my tire blew out on the freeway, very scary experience, but I was able to get it in a safe area but it was at a steep incline drive way near a busy street. Called Honda Care Roadside assistance and they connected me to Dansen's Towing. Michelle, was really nice and very good at her job. She came on time and being that we were in a tricky area, she was super patient and very careful with my car, and managed to get my car on to her truck backwards on a steep incline in the hot sun and without any scratches. She was was really nice on the way to the dealership

Dansen is the son of a family friend, and we have been going to him since the beginning. He is always professional, thorough, affordable, and available. He is personally there most days, and if he isn't, another family member is. I would highly recommend this business for quality labor and fixes, basic oil changes, and of course, as a convenient safety inspection station. Can't go wrong.
I highly suggest making an appointment or calling ahead if you can as they DO get busy sometimes.

This is for one of Dansen's tow trucks. It has been parked in front of our building BLASTING distasteful music while the driver is talking to three girls across the street. Inconsiderate of the many residents here and unprofessional.
My experience is that now know the name Dansen and I have a bad taste for it. The shop may be a better place to experience their business, but there are many other shops to go to and that's probably what I'll do.

Giving a five star specifically on their towing service. Connected with them through Geico, since I have Emergency Roadside Assistance, and wasn't told by Geico who the towing company was. Got a follow up call minutes after hanging up with Geico, from Dansen's dispatcher that estimated time of arrival time would be approximately three hours. Now I don't mind the three hours because, Geico already set that expectation with me prior to receiving the call from dispatcher.
