Lauren's is located in the same shopping plaza as Job Lot and is on the roadside, along Rt 136. It's a family owned operation with indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a bar. We spent just over $20 per person in our party of four. If you've never had saffron rice with Mozambique sauce (you can get it with chicken or shrimp), you have been missing out your entire life. It's a dish you'll see in this part of southern New England, which has a substantial Portuguese heritage. This was my first time eating Shrimp Mozambique and I'm hooked! The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is very at-home comfortable

Went there because my friend raved about it. We got there at 12:45 pm and were seated immediately by a very friendly waitress. Unfortunately they were not serving lunch yet even though the menu stated 11am. When our waitress asked the cook for a time they were going to start lunch (figured we could shop and come back) she was yelled at and told not for at least another hour which would have been after 2pm! We left the waitress a tip and left🙄

I ate breakfast here with my friend on April 29th. Loved the down-home atmosphere, and classic stained glass ceiling lamps. Disappointingly, I found the waitress to be disinterested in giving great service. While a great option to have a customizable omelette, mine was so bland that I liberally sprinkled it with salt and pepper. That was my least liked item of food; but the diced red potatoes and buttered toast were delicious! Appropriate prices. I would come here again but not for the omelette.
