Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. has been serving it's communities for over 120 years. Mark Stephens has been licensed for 25 years and is a past board member of the Rochester Genesee Valley Funeral Directors Association and supports many local community organizations. I-390 south to exit 12 Rush exit. Turn left onto Route 15 south to Route 251 East. Turn left onto 251 East to Route 15A South. Turn right onto 15A South to Monroe Street. Left on Monroe Street heading East for 1 mile. Route 15A North from Springwater will also get you to the intersection of Routes 5 & 20 and Route 15A.
No matter if a death is sudden, or if it something that was a long time coming, the loss of a loved one makes us feel emotional and overwhelmed. No amount of preparation can fully prepare you for the loss of a loved one. When you are in a heightened emotional state, even the most basic decisions can seem staggering.
Traditionally, a burial service involves a visitation, followed by a funeral service in a church, or other place of worship. The casket is typically present at both these events, and it is your decision on whether to have the casket open or not. You have the option of having the remains interred (earth burial), or it may be entombed in a crypt inside a mausoleum (above ground burial).

We recently lost my mom and could not of been more pleased with Mark and his wonderful staff. Mark went beyond his job as a funeral director - he was caring & compassionate. He made sure we honored my mom's life the way we wanted. He made a very stressful time in our life so much easier and continued to answer questions even after mom's services.
