Medication-assisted treatment with methadone is the gold standard for opioid addiction when supported by counseling. Office-based buprenorphine treatment (Suboxone) is offered in select locations, providing treatment in a setting similar to a physician's office. Individual, group and family substance use counseling by professional, licensed clinicians is a critical component of all comprehensive treatment plans.
Medication-assisted treatment is available at programs throughout Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. HCRC is dedicated to delivering quality care for those struggling with addiction to prescription pain medications, heroin, and fentanyl. Medication-assisted treatment reduces the effects of opioid withdrawal and diminishes the cravings which so often lead to relapse.

Services
Health Care Resource Centers (HCRC), a BayMark Health Services company, has been providing outpatient medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder for more than 32 years. Our primary focus is on methadone treatment supported by substance use counseling and other recovery services to accommodate under-served populations affected by the worsening opioid crisis.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) collects this data yearly to look at the number of Americans over the age of 12 misusing prescription medication or illicit drugs. The results are staggering. Prescription and illicit opioid misuse continues to increase despite the growing attention to this public health crisis.
It can be difficult to tell if someone you care about is using heroin or fentanyl, or is misusing prescription pain medication. This is particularly true if that medication has been prescribed for an injury or illness. Individuals misusing opioids may develop a dependency, leading to increased usage of the drug.
No, the lack of understanding on this topic furthers the stigma around MAT and creates barriers for those struggling with opioid addiction. Methadone and buprenorphine are FDA approved medications that do not cause "euphoria" or impairment when taken at the correct dosage. Instead, they relieve an individual's craving for opioids and the physical symptoms of withdrawal.
Health Care Resource Centers (HCRC) offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and substance use counseling for individuals struggling with opioid addiction. HCRC medication-assisted treatment programs provide methadone maintenance treatment, the gold standard in opiate addiction treatment for over 50 years.

Dont listen to these bad reviews. Methadone clinics are depressing by nature but I've been to a few and this is by far the best. My names david westwater and I dont care who knows. this place has the best hours and in my time the director was a nice guy who wore a dress shirt alot and spent along time talking to people on the line. The nurses smile and the hours are much better then most. No one complains like a drug addict we are ALL ultra sensitive to our own suffering and ignorant of the suffering we cause. If you need a clinic RUN to this place!
