Phase II treatment is needed after most phase I cases where earlier intervention was needed. One of the main goals of phase I is to guide the permanent teeth into place and avoid possible extractions. Once the permanent teeth are present, a phase II treatment is done to align these permanent teeth that came in after the phase I treatment.
For most cases we recommend monitoring growth and development starting at age 7 once every 12 months until treatment is ready to commence. If early intervention (phase I) is not needed, treatment can be started around the growth spurt. This is usually when all of the permanent teeth are in or right before the last baby teeth are lost and occurs between the ages of 11 and 13.
Braces can be done at any age as long as the teeth and associated tissues are healthy. Ceramic braces can be used to improve the esthetics of the braces by making them more invisible. We also can use tooth-colored coated wires that can make ceramic braces even more esthetic for cases that are too difficult for Invisalign to correct.
For mild to moderate orthodontic problems, Invisalign is also a great option. Invisalign is great for correcting a wide range of orthodontic issues and can now be used with all ages. Not all Invisalign is created equal. At Buckhead Orthodontics, we are able to digitally scan your teeth and treatment plan your case for the most accurate aligner fit.

I got my Invisalign treatment at Buckhead Orthodontics and it was the best decision ever. Dr. Everson is the best and very knowledgeable with Invisalign. He also has the best staff! They are so friendly and welcoming. It was super easy to book appointments and even to reschedule or modify if needed. I highly recommend you come here for treatment!

Out of all the places I could have gone here in Atlanta I’m so glad I chose Buckhead Orthodontics. Dr. Everton gave me so much comfort and information from the first consultation to when I decided to pull the trigger on aligners. The team has been a pleasure to work with and I could really not say enough great things about this place. So happy with my results. Even though I’m not a dentist, it appears like they have the top of the line equipment. The energy of the office also has friendly calming vibe. The space is clean and inviting. Highly suggest!

What can I say.....WOW, Fantastic, Top Tier Service, Friendliest Staff on the Planet. I have spent 2 years with this practice to get my smile right and could not be more proud and satisfied with Buckhead Ortho!! Dr E is very hands on, very meticulous, and a perfectionist. LISTEN TO HIM!!! He knows his stuff. You can tell, that he and his staff take pride in their patients and truly deliver the results you want. Costs are reasonable in comparison but you cannot compare the type of service you will receive because it's worth it. Big shout out to Holly who seems to run the office and does a fab job

I completed Invisalign treatment in less than a year with Buckhead Orthodontics and LOVE the results. Making the commitment to Invisalign is singlehandedly the biggest confidence boost I could have imagined. In the Atlanta area, Buckhead Orthodontics is THE way to go. Not only is Dr. Everson a perfectionist, but he will answer any and all questions thoroughly. He is personable, kind, and won't make you feel like you're in a smile factory like other offices I've been to.
