We can determine whether existing framing has residual capacity for adding new loads such as rooftop units and solar panel arrays. Oftentimes structural elements are modified by tradesmen and require analysis to determine if the modifications have compromised the structural integrity of the elements.

Aquidneck Consulting Engineers, LLC (ACE) routinely executes residential structural condition assessments, often in support of real estate sales. We go to the site and conduct a visual inspection of the framing and/or foundation, usually spending 1-3 hours at the site.

How much we can determine about the structure depends upon how much of the framing and foundation is exposed, e.g., we can better evaluate a foundation and first-floor framing when the basement is unfinished.
