I had a great experience at JR hair salon today! Jean is beyond professional he made a great work on my hair, I have a pixie haircut for the first time and I'm in love! The salon is clean and beautiful. I'm glad that I found this hair salon! I highly recommend it!

The owner cut my hair uneven and set my natural hair journey back. I was scared observing the way he uses heat on other clients, yet he berated Dominican hair shops for frying natural hair. He said he could blow dry my hair to give me a proper trim, only to discover it was uneven while doing a twist out a few days after. He constantly talked about his love for money and can be ignorant with his comments on religion. Beware. the clean nice atmosphere is deceiving.

I am very happy I went. They were so gentle with my head and my hair looks great. There is parking behind the behind which makes it so much easier. Everyone was very nice.

Honestly, he has talent; however, if you ask questions about what's included in the price, they get offended. It is the customer's right to ask questions about the price. Not a good way to run a business or to keep loyal customers.

I got a silk press with a trim and my hair looks and feels amazing! They truly know what they're doing and the prices are unbeatable.

I had such an amazing hair experience with this beautiful salon! Jean styled my hair and far exceeded my expectations to say the least. I’m a hair stylist as well and I usually style my own hair, however that is now a thing of the past! Jean is now my personal hair stylist for life! Keep up the work!

Master in haircutting! It was my first time there after watching his Instagram and I had an amazing experience. I'm biracial with 3/b damage curly hair. I did the big chop and I love it! Jean is truly and artist and I will be back soon.

Went on a referral and learned the hard way, this is NOT a salon for hair braiding whatsoever. The most unprofessional salon experience I've had.

In making my appt I confirmed they would provide hair in the proper color (1B) black and felt confident we were all on the same page. When I arrived Ms. Juliet had only 1 pack (1B) and (4) which is brown! She mumbled it was like black. I reminded her I wanted 1B, medium sized, bra strap length braids. She became visibly irritated. As she started to braid I noticed the braid sizes were ALL different and asked if she would keep them medium. She got

I have very thin hair with some hair lost so I needed something short. jean gave a cut that absolutely looks beautiful and also very low maintenance because I workout a lot. He is the only person I let relax and cut my hair. Honestly the best in the Bergen county area

They were quick with styling my hair (I got a ponytail), but it's extremely overpriced. I paid $70.50 when I brought my own hair. Over the phone I was told it would be $55. I am extremely unhappy with the ponytail. The stylist did not go through layers with jam or gel, she just sprayed Got 2b Freeze Spray on the outside of my hair. My hair is not sleek it's just extremely hard, crunchy and uneven. I wasn't even put under the dryer. There are indents in my hair when I run my hand over it. On top of that, my edges weren't even laid.. she completely ignored them. There was no barrier

Overall my experience with this establishment has been great. They provide great customer service and the atmosphere is always pleasant. My hair is always styled beautifully and detail to care is also shown. On most occasions, I am taken right away without a wait. Even though advertisements indicate they primarily work on women of color, the are efficient in all hair types and I have seen diversity within the shop. They do not limit their talents and keep up to date with techniques.

Jene and Phoebe are professional, timely- no wait!!! and close to home. Reasonable prices. Def will be back
