I cover my hair in public for religious reasons and she made accommodations so I can feel comfortable. She is amazing! Definitely coming back here!

Chris did a beautiful job on my japanese hair straightening and trimming my blunt bob six months ago. I'll be scheduling my next appointment with Chris this week.

I drove 2 hours to use this salon for my first ever Japanese hair straightening treatment. I was a bit early for my 10am appointment, but they were ready for me. The salon was very clean and although there was a language barrier, the staff was very professional and knowledgeable. The gentleman who did my treatment was so careful, and explained each step thoroughly. He also noticed that my hair was a little uneven and decided to give it a trim. He was an amazing perfectionist. He explained after care and when to come back! I will be going back to this salon every time I need a treatment! I was amazed

I have been going to Sema for my Japanese hair straightening for 4 years in a row now. They are absolutely amazing! The place is clean, (some of)the staff is friendly. Then again it depends on how busy they are and their mood. That is why I knocked off that one star. My visit one month ago was a 5 star though. Grace did my treatment and she was quite patient, courteous, and sweet. She did a terrific job with my hair and I was quite pleased with the outcome.

They gave me the absolute worst haircut. I asked for a one-length haircut and one inch cut off and they chopped of at least 3 inches off my hair. I was growing my hair out and told them I still wanted long hair. I wanted a fresh new trim and they cut off more then I wanted. Obviously they do not understand what I tell them! They should ask before chopping off my entire hair off. I'm never coming back here! I'm so disappointed and unhappy with my hair cut.

I go here for the Japanese hair straightening and I’ve even received a hair cut. The end result is always amazing and everyone is so kind and efficient. Their prices are great too! Highly recommend!

Best place for Japanese Straightening been coming here for many years. Grace is so kind and good at her job. They will take care of your hair no matter the type of hair. Any style you want the staff will give you walk out feeling beautiful, handsome if your a guy haircuts, for kids. Nice local salon.

I recently dyed my hair jet black they did a really nice job !!
They were pretty spot on with the color and perfect customer service it took about an hour and a half to dye my hair and the person that dyed it would check up on me once in a while asking if it felt weird or if I didn't like it.

I 've been going elsewhere for my haircuts and dyes but tried this place because it was in the area. There's a few stylists here so I can't vouch for the others but Jin is great with hair. I've been coming here since I met him.

He's been doing my ombré, balayage and hair cuts for years and I have no complaints. I trust that my hair will come out beautifully and I appreciate his input/advice. I always receive compliments after he does my hair.

It was the worst nightmare of my entire salon experience. The first impression of the owner seems to be nice at first, but soon, it will prove you wrong. Hair styling is science, and requires precision and skills. Generally, they lack both for matching the color of the root and remaining hair, cutting (lacks precision), and perm (burns your hair). They would apologize you, and would give you a little bit of discount, like $20, a free treatment (if your hair was burnt). But they should understand that once the hair was ruined, the damage is irreversible.

I have visited this salon many times over the past 2 yrs. The environment is busy but unpretentious. Weekends tend to be a bit busy but they do take appointments. I go to see the first man on the left side (usually wears glasses and jeans). He has always been very professional with my color and cuts. I have brought my 2 sons and their cuts with him have been better than most of the Korean salons on the Broad Ave. Why I keep coming back rather than trying out the other Korean salons is this person's attention to detail with cuts. I don't understand the bad reviews here. First i was referred to by a friend that they do a good job w the hair dying. I made the appointment w the head hairstylist(a female) online. Then i got there and the stylist was very friendly and was caring to my needs. The remainder of the staff was very friendly as well. My hair color was exactly what I wanted which is a marsala hair color (in btwn plum and burgundy). The cost was similar as other salon for an entire head hair dye. I would def come back.

I called to ask about children's haircut and appointment and was kindly told that the children's haircut was $15 and they had an availability right away. We got there and the lady that cut my son's hair was quick, but also good to carefully see the lining of my son's hair growth and what was most appropriate for the hairstyle. Now the only reason I gave them 2 star was because when it was time to pay they did not even inform me prior to me handing them my credit card that the receptionist had the children's hair cut price wrong. I really can't stress enough how wonderful the owner is, Katie, all their staff is great. If you need Japanese straightening and are looking for a clean, reasonable place with a calm setting, you've found it. Why bother w/ the city or queens? I found my new go-to. No waiting even when I didn't have an appt. one negative -I wouldn't recommend Brazilian, as the Japanese treatment is so much more effective.

The last time I've visited this place, my stylist was very nice. The only problem was my forgetfulness of not bringing in a picture of what I wanted my hair to be, but my hair turned out great regardless.
The price is super reasonable, everything is high quality and the stylists seem exceptionally certified.

I booked my appointment online and got confirmation through E-Mail and a phone call. When I first went for a haircut, it wasn't that bad of an experience. I showed my stylist the picture of the style I wanted and he only took one glance at it. He put his own take on it so it wasn't exactly how I wanted it.
