To introduce amateur boxing by encouraging sport participation, physical activity, health and wellness among the areas youth, boys and girls alike. Elephant in the Room Boxing Club (EIR) is a non-profit organization located in New Haven, Connecticut. EIR was founded by Executive Director, Devonne Canady.
The first and only Gold Medalist Amateur World Champion in the sport of boxing for nine years. EIR, a co-ed boxing gym, offers adult boxing programs and a youth boxing program that incorporates an after school program and access to an onsite social worker. The objective is to attract and involve more young people in the sport of amateur boxing and to provide choices for the youth which will then have a positive impact on the community.

EIR aims to introduce amateur boxing to the New Haven area youth, encouraging participation in sports, health and wellness among the areas youth, boys and girls alike. Based in Newhallville, we will support youth in the surrounding areas and across the City including Fair Haven, West River, Kensington Square, Edgewood Ave, and Newhallville communities.
We are more than a promotional and management company. Created to be a full service management agency for boxers, Boss Lady is committed to developing fighters, mapping out roads to success, contract negotiation, create marketing and endorsement opportunities, financial advice and preparing clients for careers after boxing.
Our gym is a private non-profit organization. Like most non-profits we depend on the charitable donations from public and private funding.
