This was our first time here and it was good. The service was good and the food was good. This food was comparable to El Cerro Grande and MI Cabana. The only negative was the card machine not working and the greeter asked for us to write our card info in a notebook so they could process the payment when the machine starts working again. NEVER!!! We went to the ATM and paid.

There was a hair in our salsa, waiter was rude, it was dirty and we had to ask for napkins and utensils to eat When we did the waiter rolled her eyes at us. The Menus were dirty with salsa which I am assuming were used by previous customers and they didn’t wipe them down. Just an overall disappointment. I am giving two stars because my tacos were ok.

This place has very good food, and a very good staff. I want a really big fan of Mexican cuisine because of my travel lifestyle. I've been to some of the most authentic Mexican restaurants, and El Arriero is very good. If you find yourself in the Jacksonville North Carolina area please give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

We went for the first time last night. I do not like trying new places, and a friend picked the spot last night. I was so pleasantly surprised! I will definitely come back! Firstly, the salsa & chips were the best I've had. I am picky about salsa and do not buy it in the store at all because we make our own at home. I'd buy this salsa though. Yum! The little tortilla hard shell presentation of the beans is adorable and I loved it! Our server was lovely and I really appreciated that the manager came to check on us. Everyone around me was super impressed with this presentation of the Spicy Fajitas

Food was good. Didn't care for the salsa, no flavor, almost sweet, no heat. Asked for house salsa and waiter brought grounded up habanero....at least that's what it looked like and tasted like. Good flavor for USA Mexican food. Not authentic Mexican food people......you have no idea what authentic Mexican food is.....what region of Mexico are you referring to as being authentic?
