Slow Flowers
Slow Flowers promotes American-grown flowers and foliages and connects consumers with farmers, florists, designers and retailers. Join host Debra Prinzing each week as she and guests discuss the vital topics of saving domestic flower farms and supporting a floral industry that relies on a safe, seasonal and local supply of flowers and foliage.

The ORIGINAL floral-promotion holiday, American Flowers Week is Slow Flowers' advocacy, education and outreach campaign. Use #americanflowersweek and participate in the campaign's 5.0 million social media impressions. The SLOW FLOWERS SUMMIT is a "live" conference for creative professionals, thought leaders and pioneering voices in the progressive American-grown floral community.

Slow Flowers is an award-winning online directory to help you find florists, studio designers, wedding and event planners, supermarket flower departments and flower farmers who are committed to using American-grown flowers (now in Canada, too!). This site is the creation of Debra Prinzing, a writer, speaker, outdoor living expert and advocate for American flower farming.
Serving growers in North America, PoppyStarts is your wholesale source for Annual, Perennial and Grass starter plants. Milwaukee Flower Company is committed to flower designs that showcase the spectacular, the local, and the unusual. Tied to the seasons, boasting the best of local flowers without sacrificing chic sensibilities.
As stated in the bylaws of the Association, SlowFlowers Italy's mission is to raise awareness of the new trends of Floral Design through public events and other forms of communication. The last decade has set the scene for a new perspective on cut flowers, especially in the United States.

Some world-renowned floral designers have created, developed and promoted, through a wild, organic and seasonal aesthetic, a new approach to Floral Design based on these concepts: to use locally- grown and seasonal flowers, to buy directly from flower farms, to be conscious consumers. The award-winning online directory Slowflowers created by Debra Prinzing has been a major inspiration.
You've likely heard of slow food and maybe even slow fashion, but what, you may be wondering, are slow flowers? We love connecting with members across the U.S. and Canada who describe their association with the Slow Flowers Movement as an important one, especially when it comes to highlighting the What, How and especially the "WHY" of their own brand.
