Pediatric dentistry is one of nine dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA). The specialty of pediatric dentistry requires the completion of a four-year dental school program, as well as an additional two- to three-year residency program. Through advanced training, pediatric dentists are able to provide expert oral care to their young patients.
I have known Dr. Sangita Doshi for many years now, personally and professionally. She has a very high level of professionalism, character, and morals. My family has gone to Dr. Doshi for all our dentistry needs and have been very pleased with the care and attention that we have received. For small children going to the dentist is very scary and upsetting, but Dr. Doshi put my daughter right at ease and made her first dental visit very pleasant.
Ultimately, the decision about which filling material should be used is best determined in consultation with Dr. Doshi. Before your treatment begins, please feel free to discuss the options with her. Composite resins (tooth colored fillings) are used to restore front teeth or where a natural or cosmetic appearance is important.
Growing happy, healthy smiles begins with good oral care during infancy. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommend that your child visit the dentist by his or her first birthday and establish a "dental home." A dental home is an ongoing relationship between a dentist, patient, and parents in order to maintain comprehensive oral care.

Both of our children, ages 6.5 and 1, are patients of Dr. Doshi. She and her staff have a special way of communicating with kids and making them feel safe and comfortable. They communicate with the kids through the entire appointment and let them know what is going on the entire time. We are so glad we found this practice.

Best Pediatric Dentist I have visited!!
We moved into the area and were in search for a dentist for my 3 young (ages 4-9) girls who were VERY NERVOUS of the dentist. But after their first visit with Dr. Doshi for their yearly cleaning along with another visit to fill a cavity they were actually waiting to go back to the dentist!! After we left the office from their check up they were all smiles everywhere and even said “When is our next appointment?”... . I knew right then she would be the kids dentist for as long as possible!!

Dr. Doshi and her staff are simply exemplary from start to finish. They always go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable, well taken care of, and most importantly that your little one's dental health is thoroughly looked after. Dr. Doshi is extremely patient, caring, and has such a great rapport with our little one. She does everything in her power to ease our little one's anxieties and he always walks away with a smile. I highly recommend her practice!!

Fantastic experience! From the time we booked our appointment, the communication with the office staff was timely and clear. Everyone there is extremely courteous. The office is immaculate. Multiple small touches made it even more welcoming than we expected. And, of course, Dr. Doshi was WONDERFUL. Very patient with our squirmy toddler, and took a lot of time in giving us valuable advice on how to care for his teeth and gums. HIGHLY recommend this practice to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist!

What an amazing place!!! Dr. Doshi and her team have put together a wonderful practice that not only caters to children, but truly understands them. My 2 year old went there for her first trip to the dentist and I couldn't have been more relieved.
The scheduling is exact. They engage and prepare your child for everything to come in a way that brings excitement and adventure to the process. Your child goes home with a clean mouth telling happy stories of their time with Dr. Doshi and her fantastic friends...what more could you ask for!!!

I took my 18-month-old son here for his first dentist appointment and couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. The entire staff was friendly and helped my LO feel safe and comfortable. While we waited for Dr. Doshi the technician showed my son some of the instruments they use in the mouth on a bear he happened to bring with him, and when he started getting a little restless during his exam I started singing to him and Dr. Doshi jumped right in! It truly was a great experience and Dr. Doshi and her team are excellent.

We absolutely love this practice! The staff and Dr. Doshi are amazing with our children. I recommend this practice to all parents. The practice is clean, safe, throuough, educational for child and parent, and accommodating to families. From someone who was traumatized by a dental visit as a child, I am so grateful to have found a practice and now my children love to go to the dentist (something I still dread). So very happy we found this practice.

I took my son to Dr. Doshi for his first dental visit. I was nearly a year late getting around to his visit and was quite apprehensive about his behavior. I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. The entire staff was cordial, professional and made sure he felt comfortable before any work was performed. Dr. Doshi was very pleasant and provided great tips for creating great long lasting dental health care. Again, very pleased with the office, staff, care and experience.

Love this Office! The office is very beautiful and kid friendly! Dr. Doshi is the sweetest kindest dentist! She saw three of my children ages ranging from 15 to 4 and everyone felt comfortable and had a great experience. Most of all I loved that she made you feel like you were her only patient. Not like you were going through an assembly line like I have felt in other offices. If you are anywhere near Pediatric Dentistry of Columbia, I would definitely recommend you take your child here!
