Home Advantage has been managing my property for several years now and I have always gotten excellent service. They are responsive, proactive, and quick to communicate about any issues. They have never had trouble finding quality tenants for my property. If you're looking for a quality property management company I highly recommend them.

Took our application fee without any word of approval. After days of no response I called and asked about the status of our application and she said she would call me in 5 minutes to pull it up. No call back. The next day I called Dan and he sent me a text saying the property had been purchased and it was no longer available. Scam artists. Over priced properties. Un responsive.

I give Home Advantage Property Management a rave review. Their prompt, thorough and attentive work was what enabled me to be comfortable as an absentee manager for seven years after I moved.
Our relationship began when Dan headed a much small outfit where his knowledge of local tradesmen and the business was the clincher for me. While Home Advantage Property Management is bigger now, the personal touch in this family firm remains the same. I am positive you will be pleased.

I've been working with Home Advantage Property Management since December 2010 and I've had a great experience. I had a terrible experience with my previous management company and my tenant was planning on moving out due to lack of response on household repairs. I started working with Dan and I still have the same tenant 4 years later. He's very responsive to me and my tenant and I think his rates are fair.

Prior to our current rental with HAPM, we had a rental property in another state for 7 years that we never had to worry about. We really did not believe we would find a property manager "PM" in the Maryland area that could deliver, as our previous one did, and thank goodness we were wrong. HAPM was selected after we searched and interviewed other groups, and we knew after our first visit with Dan and Chris that we were going to go with them. Dan and Chris Schoedel have been excellent property managers for us since we moved out of state the summer of 2013. They found tenants for us quickly and have handled any repairs or problems with our home without delay. They deposit our income in our bank account promptly and send us sufficient documentation for ourselves and IRS purposes. Our tenants separated during this past year but Dan worked with the wife and us to bring in a roommate and continue to stay in the home. They have renewed for another year. The most important element of property management is communication. That is, picking up the phone and responding in a timely, if not instant, manner. If your manager doesn't pick up the phone when you, or worse your tenant, calls, no matter what time of day or night, and (should they miss your call) not call you back immediately, then you're sunk. That's when small problems turn into big, expensive issues.

After acting as our own management company for four years, we decided to treat ourselves to a property manager. We have been very pleased with the service provided by Home Advantage. Any issues from the tenant are addressed with great speed and the communication with us has been clear and quick. We have found them to be very good at personalizing the service to our needs and have proved themselves flexible and fair. We would choose them again if we had the opportunity!

If I could give Zero stars I would. We had nothing but problems with them even before someone moved into our home! It's obvious this guy has no clue as to what he is doing. Dan the owner posted our home on craigslist. Someone duplicated the ad and was trying to scam unsuspecting potential tenants by pretending to be the owner. He contacted me stating that I needed to change all of the locks in my house because someone could be squatting in my home??? Not sure why he couldn't check on my house being that I was paying him to manage it.
