Vision is a precious gift that should be treasured in all decades of life - from young to old. This is why Ageless Eye Care is dedicated to providing quality and compassionate eye care to populations that may have difficulty getting to the eye doctor. Ageless Eye Care is a full-scope mobile eye care clinic.
Comprehensive eye exams (including dilation) will be performed on-site by licensed optometrists. Yearly eye exams are very important because they allow for early detection and prevention of eye diseases, visual disorders that may affect learning and systemic diseases. The examination will include an assessment of the patient's current visual function and glasses prescription.

Services
Accommodative disorder is caused by a problem with a child's ability to focus on objects at near. Amblyopia is defined as poor vision in one or both eyes due to improper visual development during childhood. Improper visual development may have been caused by a high prescription that was never corrected or an eye turn.
A vision screening is not a substitute for an eye exam. A screening is very limited and will not detect eye diseases or vision problems that will affect learning. A child's first eye exam is recommended at 6 months of age. If no problems are present, then the next exam should be at 3 years of age (right before they start PreK).
Ageless Eye Care bills the appropriate insurance on behalf of the patient. The patient will only be responsible for any co-insurance due. If the deductible on the insurance is not met or if we do not accept the particular insurance, the patient will be billed for the cost of the exam. Currently we accept assignment from Medicare, Medicaid and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

It took a very long time to get my son's glasses, about 5 weeks. It led to some frustration on my part because after the diagnosis, I started to notice how my son would bump into things and had a very hard time reading and kept messing up on sight words I already thought he knew. However, he was memorizing the order of them and not the actual words and letters. The doctor found that my son needed a very strong Rx. My husband & I never had vision problems so I had no idea anything was wrong until it was uncovered. The doctor helped explain what changes can be expected & timelines for contacts, etc
