Caffe Luna

We went to celebrate our girlfriends birthday. The food was delicious, the price point was awesome, exceptional wine list, it was definitely a vibe. We'll be returning.

I've been here before and the food is always great but last night I had a terrible interaction with the front door hostess. I called before I came in and they confirmed that the restaurant accepted walk ins. When we got there the hostess very smugly told us they aren't taking walk ins. Another girl came to the front and they were chuckling together like it was funny. It was 9pm and there were plenty of tables open. I drove in from Smithfield to eat here. I won't be returning.

Beautiful restaurant inside. Top notch interior design. And the food...my god. So incredible. Service is also excellent. Highly recommend this fine establishment.

Had a reservation for 2. We were seated on a wall of three 2 tops in the middle...tables were 2 feet apart, it wasn't a great atmosphere and even before Covid it was a bit tight.
Bread came and was ice cold, oil was tasteless. I ordered Fra Diablo and the wife ordered Fiocchi. My dish had great flavor but zero spice, which unfortunately is why one orders this dish. They definitely used regular tomato sauce and not fra Diablo. My wife LOVED her dish. Price is very good for food and portions.

CHRISTINE IS THE BEST! I attended a bridal shower party where Christine was the server and she was the most attentive and fun and friendly server we ever could have wished for. The food was delicious as well and the setting was intimate and romantic. Top notch party venue with the most incredible staff in the world. If I could give a 6th star, I would!

Consistently excellent! My husband and I have been coming here for around 10yrs now and it is still hands down the best Italian food you can find. We went tonight for my birthday and we were floored that their prices have not soared through the roof like everyone else now. We were so impressed at how consistent they have been as the pricing keeps us coming back along with the incredibly delicious food. This is a must for anyone visiting Raleigh for the first time or lived here for life!

Service was great and food is awesome. The dessert wine is a must try. The only thing that's not great was the olive oil for dipping bread. Aside from that it's all good stuff.

An amazing find! Our dinner plans fell threw & we stumbled across this place. The atmosphere was great, the service was awesome and the best part the pasta!!! Ordered the Tortelli Crostacci, best lobster& crab stuffed pasta I've ever had! The sauce was amazing, perfect portion, pasta so fresh & lobster absolutely delicious. So good I couldn't stop thinking about it after! My daughter ordered Farfalle al Salmone also so good! The pink sauce was light and fresh with perfect pieces of salmon. We love Italian food and had just moved here from Chicago were we had an abundance

Went here for restaurant week and was immensely disappointed in the food. The rigatoni was overdone and the sauce lacked any flavor. The chicken Lombardi was overdone as well. The potatoes were overcooked, dry, and lacked seasoning. The asparagus had too much seasoning and was undercooked. Wine was fine and the waitress was very friendly. Vibe was alright.
Could be a fluke with it being restaurant week but, still disappointed overall.

My husband and I got married at Caffe Luna back in May and boy did it exceed our expectations! It was the complete fairytale day and it wouldn’t have been that way if it weren’t for the exceptional staff and beautiful restaurant and location! From the beginning of the planning process to the execution of the day, Darcy went above and beyond to make the day so special and perfect. I have been coming here for over 15 years. Every meal has been spot on, the service is always excellent and the dining area is always beyond clean. I also appreciate that in all the years I have dined at the restaurant the owner always stops by the table to say hello and make sure Im having a great dinning experience.

This place was disappointing.

#1. We were served cooking oil with our bread, not a proper dipping oil. It was awful. The bread was not anything special either. This alone ruins the restaurant for me. No Italian restaurant that takes themselves seriously would serve oil this bad.

#2 The website says that the seating is spaced out for the pandemic, but it was not. We were 2 feet from the tables on either sides of us.

#3 It's very loud inside. Other reviews mentioned this, but it was still surprising. They need to put some sound baffles up.

Visited here as part of a wedding rehearsal dinner. The restaurant staff did a wonderful job of handling our meal considering there 45-50 people in attendance.
The decor is nice, stylish but not stuffy.
The food was of course from the catering side but I would expect similar dishes appear on the regular menu.
Food was all good. Pictures show a couple of antipasto selections, then the Cesar salad and finally, orecchiette with broccoli and sausage.
Not pictured but also good was the cheesecake.
When we return to the area, definitely would return.

I was really excited to try the food here due to the high reviews and especially during restaurant week. I was unfortunately underwhelmed with the mediocrity of the dishes, perhaps due to restaurant week?
The olive oil with the bread was too strong and the bread itself was nothing to write home about.
The chicken was tough and the asparagus was cut up to look like green beans. Flavor was essentially pesto, rosemary and olive oil. I could’ve put that together at home.
The cheesecake was the saving grace for this restaurant. Smooth, just enough crust and unique cheese taste.

Food was delicious and service was great. My son and I wandered in not having a reservation, but was offered an outdoor table overlooking beer/wine garden of bar downstairs. Weather was fairly mild so we opted for that. Turned out to be a great decision.
We were the only ones out there and I was afraid they'd forget about us. On the contrary, our waiter and other staff were very attentive! We had a beautiful meal enjoying lights and sounds of downtown Raleigh.

We wanted to come here for a while. Really cute place to come with your loved one. We enjoyed one of the summer menus (not a bad deal) and the Bistecca . The meat was very good and service perfect.
Will come again.

I love the Fiocchi at Caffe Luna, this pasta is highly addictive. The other menu items are tasty too but I will always order this.
