I have been a dedicated customer for 15+ years. I totally trust Jayme with her coloring skills. It is so fun to try new high or low lights and walk out a new woman! She also does gel nails and has a huge assortment of colors. I love the different glitters and shimmers for added effects. Bridget has been a wonderful addition. She has great cutting and styling techniques. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. It is like walking into Cheers where everyone knows your name. I call it my therapy. 😘

LOVE this place. It is friendly, fun & cozy! But, above all, Jayme highlights my hair & she simply is the best! She is the only person I trust coloring my hair. I totally trust her judgement & she has never let me down. She is also very reasonably priced. I constantly get compliments on my hair color from friends, family & even strangers! I went to Kathy for a hair cut and when I first left I was not loving it, I felt like she really went after my head with the thinning shears - I do have very thick hair. However, a week or so after wards I'm actually loving it. I would have given 4 stars but this place is kind of old and yucky. I know it is a historic Shawnee building and I can appreciate that but the floors are uneven, the parking is in the back but you have to walk around the front to go inside. Also, it is weird that Kathy only cuts and the other girl only colors. I want one person to do both. So I may be back to

I had Cathy cut my hair. She used a flat Iron, I could smell something scorching. When I asked her about it she laughed, and said it was the styling product that I was smelling. She even laughed and told the other stylist about my concern when she returned to the shop. I don't know if it is the Product or my Hair that is scorched, But my white hair is now Yellow. I'm sorry I tried this shop.

I had my hair colored here about 3 weeks ago, the owner was delightful! I brought her a picture and she copied the color to look very similar to what I wanted...She is upbeat and fun. She charged $85.00 for the entire head to be colored. Cash only...

Choppers Hair Studio is located in a historic building in downtown Shawnee, right across the street from City Hall. The only two stylists and co-owners, Jayme and Julianna, opened the salon in January of 2004. Julianna cuts hair, Jayme colors. It's a pretty small space, but it works. The decor is kitschy '50s meets motorcycle. The first thing you see when you walk in: a mannequin (with different attire on each time I see it).
