My name is Joyce Strain, and I'm a wife and mother of three girls. I am now a grandma to two beautiful granddaughters. After having a terrible experience with my oldest daughter's care 30 years ago, I switched careers to be a home-licensed child care provider. My love for my career had grown into opening a licensed center.
Our charming cottage style building is home to our infant care ranging from 6 weeks to 2 years of age. This Hutto historic building was built in 1904. It is a perfect homey atmosphere giving the feel of a home verses a sterile large center building. Check out the green! We have artificial turf on all of our playgrounds for soft landings, cleanliness, safety, and fun.
Your child will be school ready with our professional curriculum & experienced teachers. Our PreK & Jr. PreK teacher have their masters degree & enjoy teaching a Christ centered base with prepared materials so they can invest more time with your children. All staff are fingerprinted, background checked, trained, & have CPR certification.

My little one has been going to HLS since she was 4mos old. We really love the school/daycare. We get GREAT COMMUNICATION from the teachers. We also get videos or photos of our little ones enjoying their playtime, lunch, learning time etc. We also get updates when they eat, diaper change and everything in between.
The price is more reasonable compared to other daycares especially with the curriculum they have and are very flexible with schedule.
The owners are REALLY KIND PEOPLE. They are ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP in anyway they can. Last yr during the winter storm they drove around town dropping

My daughter has been attending Hippo Learning Station since she was 7-weeks old. She is about to transition into the 1-year old class. I can't say enough about how much the staff loves my little one, and how excited she is everyday when I drop her off. As a first time mom, it provides me so much comfort knowing my child is around folks who love her so much! I appreciate the ProCare app they use for communication throughout the day. I love getting pictures and updated throughout the day about her activities. The leadership is great about community promptly about any concerns for my child's health

I have SO much to say about this fake Christian School. My neice and nephew use to go here and it was by far the worst experience for them as well as my sister who is a former employee there. They never informed of transitions to new classes, nor did they inform any parents of a COVID outbreak or any illness that is still ongoing today, they also do not inform any parents on when a new teacher or floater will be entering the classroom. They've allowed people to come back who were still sick because their short staffed. The owner constantly puts her personal problems and her director problems onto

We have been with Hippo Learning Station since our little one was 15 months old and we just celebrated his Pre-K Graduation! We will continue to attend for after school and summer care because it is the ABSOLUTE BEST. The teachers he has had over the years have been amazing and truly cared for him. Joyce, the director, has been amazing as well. She is there to answer questions, provide any assistance we’ve needed. We are so thankful we found them!!
