Services
I joined the dental field in 1989 as a Dental Assistant, and transitioned to the front desk with Dr. Newsome in 2013. I stay busy coordinating patient appointments, treatment planning, assisting insurance claims, posting payments and assisting in many other areas of our practice. When I'm away from the office I enjoy painting, decorating, creating, and spending time with my family, friends, and my spoiled rotten Miniature Pinscher.
Dr. Stephen Newsome is a 2000 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Through continuing education Dr. Newsome stays current on the cutting edge of dental treatment. He specializes in family, cosmetic and general dentistry. His concern for you and your family's dental health is his utmost priority.
Our office is located at 6111 N. Davis Highway in Pensacola, Florida. If heading north on Davis from the direction of Airport Blvd, look for our sign and turn in on the left. If you are heading south on Davis, our sign is on the right just after Heritage Apartments. There are several offices in our complex.

Just wanted to give an honest assessment of this practice, Dr. Newsom was extremely professional he answered my questions and listened to what I had to say, usually when I go into the doctors office they see me for two minutes turn around and walk back out the door,Maybe I’m not an easy person to deal with sometimes but these people were very helpful and honest enough to tell me the real problems With the pain I was having in my teeth, other places I had gone to wanted to do more work then was needed or didn’t need to be done And wanted to charge me thousands,

I've had great dentition my entire life, until this past October when I needed a dentist urgently. Upon the recommendation of a supervisor, I made an appointment with Dr. Newsome and they found a few areas that needed work. I paid their "estimate" at my November visit, but was hit again for an ADDITIONAL $300+ at my February appointment. I guess their estimate was just a shot in the dark. I had my final appointment today for 1pm. I called Monday to verify the time and they called me yesterday to confirm. Do not Trust this Dentist. He makes a good first impression and that's it. This Dr new my insurance problems being a veteran and asked me to call him when I worked it out. I did and now he is not taking new patients. Not veteran friendly, Staff was very cold and I asked for a return call from Dr Newsome. No response. Not veteran friendly. You decide.

The Dentist and dental assistants are amazing at what they do, but the billing lady is a nightmare! She straight up lies about how much you will be charged and then blindsides you with the actual cost when you get there/ when you are done. We have had problems with her for many years but they were who we went to. Now that I am an adult with no insurance, I will be going anywhere else. I told her on the phone -inquiring about price- that I had no insurance, how much will it be? She said I still had insurance and that it would cost nothing but maybe a copay. Quite possibly the most compassionate, personable and capable dentist I've ever met. The thing which truly meant a great deal was I didn't feel like "cattle" bring hurded through. The only discomfort I had was being able to hear the drill. Otherwise, he was spot on with the novacaine. Pulled 3 teeth, from the receptionist to the dentist. 5 start or better

Excellent care and service. Everyone was professional, warm, and personable with a genuine smile and positivity. My teeth were cleaned thouroughy but gently by Tracy. She was very nice and I was completely comfortable. Dr Newsome was very nice and sincere as well and clearly knew what he was doing. Bobbye and the other office ladies were great as well. The place was clean and welcoming. I also very much enjoyed the music they had on — very relaxing. :) This was my first time here and it’s the best dental experience I’ve had. I will definitely be back and definitely recommend!

Very few people that I know love going to their dentist, but I do.
After years of not having the money to go to a dentist, I was so nervous about finally seeing one. I was afraid I’d get lectured for not going earlier and that I wouldn’t be able to afford what I needed to have done.
Dr Newsome was so kind and encouraging. His prices are more that reasonable too. Everything in his office is clean and up-to-date and his staff make you feel right at home.
I recommend him to everyone. Check him out, you won’t be disappointed.
