Louis with Upper End has done both mine and my husband's hair for years! When he left his previous salon, I was so sad that I may have to start the tedious process of finding a new stylist all over again. Alas, we were able to locate him at his own salon!! Upper End is beautiful and clean, the staff is so friendly - Stoney, the receptionist, is lovely and warm. They gave me an appointment first thing in the morning... Staff is great. I enjoyed the vibe they had going on. I went in with some crazy orange patchy lightened hair.. also my hair is super long. It took a long time but they really had a good idea of what to do about it. They matched the color of my roots and did highlights to get rid of the patchy thing I had going on. I didn't expect it to be perfect, but Christi nailed it. It had Dimension and it looked almost exactly like my natural hair!! I was very pleased with the results. Don't let the bad reviews discourage you, I'm 100% sure that they have more happy customers than unhappy.

I booked an appointment last minute for graduation and Kelle still took me in to color and style my hair perfectly!! Have been to this salon multiple times and they always leave my hair looking amazing! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a new hair salon to try out, customer service is 10/10 as well!

Got my hair done here several months ago by Luis. The conversation was forced and awkward. I came in for a cut and color. I had some blonde in my hair and just wanted an overall color that matched my natural color. I'm a light brown. He had an assistant that did some pieces on one side while he did the other side and the back. Then another new client came in and he did a hair cut on her. My hair processed for a total of 55 minutes. I was there for 3 hours and 15 minutes. I know this exact time because I told my husband it would take 2 and half hours and we had set a lunch date. I went through several hair salons before I found Luis through a substantial amount of positive Google reviews back when he worked in McKinney. I've been getting my hair cut by him for over a year now, and have happily followed him to his location in Wylie. Every time I go I just tell him the length I want and some general descriptions and to do whatever he think me will look good. He always delivers. I'm happy for everyone who had a positive experience at this establishment but that was not what happened to me. I had a color done on the 18th and it had faded by the 21st, by A LOT. I called and went in the have it evaluated only to be told by the girl that did my hair that she didn't have much experience with red. Would have been good to know beforehand. So they said I could come back in to have it fixed. I didn't really feel comfortable going back to her, for obvious reasons, and I was told they'd set me up with a stylist who had experience with red - which I agreed to

Absolutely amazing! There are just not enough words. Luis does outstanding work. If you need highlights -- he's definitely your guy! Stoney, the front desk manager, is the friendliest person you'll ever meet. The entire staff makes you feel like family and you walk out of there looking like a million bucks. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!

I just moved to the area and I am so glad to have found this Salon. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Maricarmen was my stylist and she did absolutely amazing on my haircut. She listened to how I wanted my hair done and was so precise with the cut as well as styling it. My hair has never looked better.

Thank you thank you thank you for the warm welcome and excellent service. I was able to make an appointment through Yelp's messaging service and the staff at Upper End was able to accommodate me quickly! I was greeted and introduced to the family that owns the salon. My stylist, Maria Carmen, took the time to listen to me but also offered some input on color etc...which I really appreciated because I don't have a lot of insight. I would rate this place and Luis a 0 star if I could! The absolute worst experience I've ever had at a salon. I literally left the place in tears with how bad the color was. I came in a honey to light blonde, asked for a strawberry blonde with a balayage look and left with nearly black roots and brunette at the bottom. I brought in 3 pics and all I said I wanted different was that I wanted to roots to blend in with my natural color. Obviously my natural hair color is not super dark as I am a natural blonde. I have no idea how we got from me coming in blonde, asking for a little red to be added

I needed a haircut after months and months of staying at home. Did a quick search and found this gem close to my home. Not gonna lie, I'm a sucker for modern clean decor and this place is all about it. I messaged them on Instagram and got a reply right away. I went in for a haircut and Luis blew me away! He took the time to listen to my visions & made sure I would get exactly what I wanted. Well the man did not disappoint. He even showed me different ways to style my hair OMG!
