The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from birth to age of six. For that is when man's intelligence itself, his greatest implement is, being formed. Country Montessori is an independent Montessori preschool and kindergarten, located in the beautiful rolling hills of Sutton, MA.
Founded in 1986, the school provides the children of The Blackstone Valley with a high quality preschool and kindergarten education. Country Montessori is dedicated to providing students with a nurturing learning environment where they feel safe and secure in an intellectually and socially stimulating environment.

Services
Country Montessori believes in teaching the whole child. Social, emotional, intellectual, physical, ethical and creative aspects of learning are inevitably intertwined. We believe that when children take pride and enjoy their work, they learn its value not only for themselves, but also its importance for their community.
In 1986, Country Montessori was founded, by Lucy Lukason, to offer parents a high-quality preschool and kindergarten for their children. As a young child, there were two things I aspired to be: a mother and a teacher. I am a mother of two young girls and have been a teacher in many capacities over the years: preschool, 1st grade, 2nd grade and special education through fourth grade.
Our classrooms provide a prepared learning environment to welcome each student, emphasize independent learning, encourage social interactions and help each child develop physically, cognitively, and socially. The curriculum encompasses five major Montessori areas of learning: practical life, sensorial, mathematics, language and cultural studies.
The highly experienced and dedicated teaching staff have designed a curriculum which entwines science, math, social studies, reading and writing across a variety of thematic units. The curriculum is responsive to the children's interests and uses a Montessori approach that emphasizes independent, hands on, project-based learning.
Our program will consist of weekly themes that encompass continued educational activities, science experiments, indoor and outdoor play, crafts, and water play days. Our program is available to any child (enrolled students, siblings, friends, and relatives) between the ages of 2.9 and 7 years old, and runs five days a week.

I have to agree that Ms. Maruri's review is rather unfair. My daughter was in the same class and unfortunately, I was able to witness firsthand what these teachers went through with her situation. I dropped my daughter off daily in the afternoon, which was after naptime. I saw nothing but calm and professional teachers taking physical abuse from a child on a daily basis. Being spit at, screamed at, and sworn at. It was heartbreaking to see my daughters teachers being disrespected in such a horrible way. Every night at dinner, I got to hear the stories about what this child did in the classroom

My daughter and I had a terrible experience at this daycare facility. My daughter started acting out incredibly and was having some difficulties behaviorally at the school and not at home due to a personal trauma in which the school was aware of, the school and I met a number of times to work through this but I believe that one teacher in particular was singling out my child due to the fact that she didn't fit into the mold of the other students. On the last day that my daughter attended that school, this teacher was yelling at me about my daughters behaviors and essentially verbally attacked me
