As specialists, Drs. McClain and Schallhorn have received extensive training in both surgical and non-surgical periodontal care and dental implant treatment. Both doctors are board-certified by the American Board of Periodontology.

All people harbor bacteria (or plaque), which grows on the teeth and can cause the gums to become inflamed. Plaque can be removed by daily brushing and flossing, in combination with regular dental cleanings; however, some individuals are more prone to plaque build-up and gum disease. If gum disease is left untreated, progression of the disease can lead to tooth loss.
A dental implant is made of medical grade titanium and is designed to replace the root of a missing tooth. While you are healing from implant surgery, the bone of the jaw fuses (integrates) with the implant. Once healing is complete, a crown, bridge or denture will be placed on the implant(s) by your restorative dentist.
During your initial examination in our office the doctor will make a diagnosis and discuss your treatment needs. A range of treatment options may be available depending on your specific diagnosis. We recognize that no two patients are alike and we are proud to provide individualized care, tailored to your specific needs.

Professional, clean, very friendly, and honest! I have 4 wisdom teeth and one broken tooth extracted with bone grafting done by Dr. Rachel. The pre-operation, operation, and post-operation provided will get you prepared and ready for the work ahead which will be great for your teeth and gum health. This place is the place for your teeth and gum health, which is crucial to your overall health. They will take care of you and your oral health. Make the appointment and get your gum and teeth checked out asap. Don't wait until it gets worse.

Dr Schalhorn and her staff were amazing. I needed significant surgery (including bone grafts) in preparation for implants and was very concerned about it. Her staff and she were patient in answering all of my questions. The surgery went exactly as explained and the after care was perfect. Thank you Dr Schallhorn and staff.

I have seen Dr MC Clain for gum disease and surgery. I found her and her staff courteous, well trained, timely and aware of the impact of finances on my treatment alternatives. They found some shadowing which led me to get a root canal (different doctor). The shadows were not picked up by other dental offices.

Dr. Schallhorn was amazing. I had gum grafting done which can be scary but she explained everything so I knew what to expect and the surgery was completely pain free. I'm really happy with my results and would recommend this office to others. They make you feel really comfortable and well taken care of.
