Services
Kim has been working in dentistry for over 10 years as an office manager and previously as a dental assistant. Her sister, a dental hygienist, got her interested in dentistry as a profession. Her favorite part of the job is getting to know her patients like old friends. She is always happy to hear how your latest trip went or see photos of the kids.
White fillings or composite restorations are used to rebuild teeth that have been damaged by decay, chipping or small fractures. The material is bonded to the tooth using a light-cured adhesive and is sculpted into place to recreate or enhance the natural size shape and color of your tooth. We are able to match the shade of the material to the exact shade of your natural tooth for a very esthetic result.
Dr Mayer graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2007 with her DDS degree after receiving her Bachelors of Science from Marquette in 2004. She spent one year after dental school in Stevens Point, Wisconsin at the Ministry Dental Center where she completed Marquette University's Rural Dental Fellowship.
We are thrilled to welcome you to our state of the art dental facility in the heart of Lowry in Denver. Our office features all-digital x-rays, paperless charting, plenty of natural light and wood features to help make you feel comfortable during your time with us. Your dental health is our top concern, and for that reason we maintain OSHA (occupational safety and health administration) and CDC (center for disease control) standards.
No surprise financing - we will review all financial information with you so you have a clear understanding of all costs; we also offer financing options. There are several companies we work with that provide financing to patients specifically for their dental treatment. This allows you to spread out the cost of your treatment over time, with no interest or low interest charges, depending on which option you choose.

This is probably the best dentist I’ve ever seen - Dr. Mayer is thorough, polite, detailed, and clearly an expert.
The hygienists are wonderful too along with the assistants! The front desk staff is absolutely lovely as well. 10/10 and highly recommend. These ladies are awesome!
The only negative is the COVID protocols are out of date to say the least. Mask mandates were removed in CO a month ago, yet they remain at a place that works inside your mouth.

I recommend City Smiles to anyone who mentions they need to find a dentist, especially if they are anxious or afraid of dentists. Dr. Mayer's manner is sort of optimistic realism: "Here's what's wrong, but here's what we can do about it". And it really is "we"; she's supported me through a lot and I'm very grateful for it.
To be honest, I now judge most healthcare providers against this practice. Dr. Mayer and her staff are welcoming, relaxed, efficient, and simply kind. But most importantly, I feel respected and empowered. My care is something we're collaborating on, not something being dictated

Awesome place to due business with! It's hard to find a practice that's really good at dentistry while ALSO having competent and kind office management staff (Kim is so sweet and professional). Getting your teeth worked on is unpleasant as is so it's nice that they do their best to make you feel comfortable and cared for.

They billed for way more than the insurance paid, over quoted me on how much insurance would pay, then stuck me with the bill.
In addition, Dr Mayer asked if I want to keep all my teeth during our first cleaning session. YES I WANNA KEEP ALL MY TEETH!! what kind of question is that?!
If you go there, be prepared to pay a lot of $$$ out of pocket even if you have dental insurance.

This was my first time visiting this dental office, and they were fantastic! The staff is so courteous and is willing to answer any question you may have. They discussed my treatment plan thoroughly, and scheduled my next appointments within a decent timeframe that worked around my schedule. I left with an even bigger smile than I went in with. I would recommend this practice to anyone and everyone!

This office is the most professional, friendly and competent medical/dental services business we have ever seen. Dr. Mayer and all of her staff are amazing. I have been seeing her for several years. My husband who was terrified of the dentist and had not seen one in years loves her. Now my toddler. She was amazing with him, explained everything, let him touch and look at all the instruments, and did not force anything more then he was willing to do. Great experiences all around. I would highly recommend City Smiles.

I've been seeing Dr Meyer at city smiles for awhile. I love the office. All of the assistants are very personable and do really good work. Love Dr Meyer. She's great. Very good location on Lowry. Dr Meyers two little dogs are usually in her office which always makes me smile. Very much recommend this office

Kim was very patient with me as I set up a follow-up appointment. I had to get some work done When I arrived, Kim greeted me with a very welcoming attitude. I didn't wait more than 5 minutes before the Dr. herself came and got me. After a couple of hours I was done. During this time, during the visit, everything was done with a caring approach. After the visit, the Dr. and her assistant both went over after care. She wrote me pain medicine in case I needed it. The Dr. herself called me to see how everything went last night and today. Never had a dr of any kind called me to see how I was doing

I've had a general fear of the dentist, but ever since I've been going to City Smiles I've left each appointment feeling elated! Kim is an extremely friendly receptionist and makes me feel at home as soon as I walk in. If I could give zero stars I would. Not only is she Money hungry [probably so she can pay off all of her decorations at her office], but shes not a good dentist. When I moved out here two and a half years ago I didn't know where else to go and this was the closest to me. I am very consistent with going to the dentist every 6 months. I have an electric tooth brush, floss and mouth wash everyday. Back home I would MAYBE get one cavity a year, however the first time I went to her in the first July 2014 I was here she said I had FOUR cavities. This office is so cool. The office itself is super modern and advanced. They have really cool art scattered around the office. Dr. Chelsea is so friendly and thorough. She spent more time with me than any other dentist has done in the past. I really appreciated the first visit where she spent so much time with me and explained a lot of issues that I've had that no other dentist had addressed before. She obviously works really hard at making sure her team is well trained and up to date. This place is truly exceptional.

Just moved to Denver and went to City Smiles based on Yelp reviews. This is the best dentist I have ever visited. First off, great customer service. Kim, the receptionist, not only looked up insurance info for me, but she sent me everything so that I know what is covered and what's not (most places have only given me a yes or no for if I'm covered there, not what percent for each treatment).
The dentist I saw and the assistant were great. They checked things that I feel like no other dentist has checked, like the muscles in my neck and temples to see how much I've actually been

Kim responded to my email within 1 hour and, as I'd requested initially, communicated with me entirely by email. She found me an appointment for my initial exam that was within two weeks of my first message, and gave me all the paperwork in advance so I could walk in and get started.
Izela took my x-rays and all that good stuff, and she got her work done quickly and smoothly without being brusque

I was a new patient at this dentist for my first appointment last week. From the very beginning, the staff was very helpful in determining whether my insurance was accepted at this clinic, and I was notified of cancellations every time to see if I could come in early.
I moved to Colorado from Kansas about 1 year ago, and have been searching for a new dentist. I know I made a good choice in coming to City Smiles. I'm a new patient at City Smiles and my first time was very nice. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I tend to ask a lot of questions because I want to understand whats happening and how I got to this position and what I can do differently and the staff was able to explain my situation without frustration. They were also more than willing to go in depth about payment options. I will be going back for a cleaning and some more work. I would definitely recommend this office to my friends when looking for a dentist.
