You and your appointment are very important to the team at hair design and color studio. We hold your appointment just for you and ask if you must cancel or reschedule any appointment, that you kindly provide us 24 hour notice. This way we will be able to adjust our schedule accordingly and accommodate other clients.
We are a hair salon, which focuses solely on Short hair design - haircutting, coloring, hilighting, color correction, and design. We LOVE hair and it shows! As a valued client, know that your appointment will never be rushed. We do not double book appointments, so you will never be left sitting with foils in your hair while we service another client.

Melissa has been cutting my hair for well over a year now and she's without question the best stylist I've ever had in CT. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment with her. She's worth every penny. Listen to her and let her work her magic on you! Last night when I walked in the door my husband said, " Wow, looks great! I like it. " When she gave me my first pixie I was a bit nervous but I love it and got not but compliments so I guess she knows what she's doing!

Melissa has been styling my hair for over 5 years now, and I won’t go to anybody else. She keeps up on the latest styles and even seems to know what styles are coming down the road. She personalizes every cut so that it’s a perfect fit for my features and personality. I don’t know how she does it. Instinct? Intuition? I’d have to say yes to those. But more importantly, it’s her expertise! Melissa is a true professional, and you won’t go wrong by choosing her as your stylist.

I won't go anywhere else to get my hair cut! She takes the time to really understand what you're looking for and give you feedback on what your type of hair can and cannot realistically do. She stays current in the latest trends and enhances her techniques through periodic training sessions in New York.

In two+ years, Melissa has taken me from long hair to short hair, precision cuts to a more contemporary "messy" look. She does it all, and does it with expertise and the eye of an artist. She is so detail oriented that I look fresh-from-the-salon even into week-six of a cut, getting as many compliments just days before my next appointment as I do on the day of the initial cut and style. I highly recommend Melissa's "Hair Design & Color Studio."

I've been to Hair Design & Color Studio several times. Melissa is a very talented hair designer who takes the time to ask questions, finds out what look you're going for and makes helpful suggestions. She is professional, friendly, sweet and very knowledgeable. Melissa's studio is decorated very nicely, it's comfortable and immaculate. You will not be disappointed if you visit Melissa at Hair Design & Color Studio, she is the BEST!!!!!
