I graduate in 1995 from Connecticut Institute of Hair Design located in East Hartford, CT. In addition, I obtained my licensing from the State of Connecticut Department of Health. I further continue my education by attending trade shows and seminars. In doing so, it allows me to sharpen my skills on today's latest trends and techniques.

My grandma and I absolutely enjoyed our service from Ms.Dana and her daughter. Just got my hair done at this shop by a miracle worker named Dana. This was my first time at her shop and from the minute I walked in she made me feel welcomed. I was a bit nervous because I was doing a big chop. She walked me through it and made me feel extremely comfortable. All I can say is, she is a perfectionist and she won't let you out of her chair until she is satisfied. Let me tell you she slayed my hair!!! I've gotten so many compliments on this style. My first time doing a Brazilian blowout by Miss Dana the owner was so much fun. The atmosphere is always great vibes; music; you just know you are well taken care of. She takes the time to understand and have her clients hair thrive. I had very long hair previously cut it medium length; and in the process of growing it back in length. My hair is naturally curly about 3b/3c texture and perm free. I have an issue of bad split ends and the Brazilian blowout collection works to mend the damage. Hair came out very silky and soft even more than my typical ceramic blowouts! The salon is very versatile

I'm obsessed with this salon! Dana and her daughter really put me at ease with my recent hair loss issue. Dana took me in last minute, and owned it! Professional, super affordable, and down right good at what she does. I can not say how amazing I feel with my new do. I've gotten so many compliments, and I genuinely feel good about myself again. I really can't say enough great things about this salon. It's been around since 2011. Totally a hidden gem in Manchester! I already booked my next appointment, even when/ if I go back natural I'll be returning!

I'm pretty new to the Hartford area, by way of NYC, and was looking for a natural hair specialist. Went in for a wash and press/flat iron. Was very surprised at the high quality of products and care that I received. My hair felt rejuvenated and healthy. After 20 years of going to the barbershop for my short look I decided to grow my hair out and needed a hairstylist. Dana at Beauty By Dezign was the perfect choice. I walked in for my appointment with no clue of what I needed for my style choice. Dana put together a look that was right on point!
