We create timeless buildings in urban environments. Lauren Garkel joined the firm directly out of school in 2007 and became a partner in 2020. W. Scott Clark, Brenda Barnes, and Lauren Garkel built CLARK | BARNES as a Seattle Architectural and Interior Design firm with experience in various building types, innovative site strategies, and integrating new construction with the historic fabric.
Our architects and designers approach each project as a unique challenge to provide an innovative solution for the site and its development requirements. CLARK | BARNES designs build on the unique character and positive qualities of each place. Working at many scales and within many contexts, we coordinate the design of individual buildings, a comfortable interior design, the public spaces they help create, and culture they celebrate.
