We advertise your vacancies; including complete current market analysis for accurate rent pricing, pictures for all advertisements, ads on craigslist and up to 20 other websites.
Once you have viewed the apartment/duplex/house you are interested in renting, each person over the age of 18 who will be living in the home needs to fill out an application and pay the $50.00 application fee. Yes, we review rental history, employment stability, criminal history, public records, and credit history on each prospective resident.

We have attached cleaning instructions, a chart of Normal Wear & Tear vs Damage, a survey, and a move out maintenance issue form. My husband and I both applied to a duerkenson apartment in Corvallis January 5th. After calling and emailing for several weeks and not getting a response. They finally let us know we were not approved for “credit reasons, and couldn’t add a co-signer to the lease” (which they did the credit report earlier and could have let us know WEEKS ago) and that one of the apartments we used for reference didn’t get back even though we called them as well and they said they would send it over and that they never got a request for information. Now that it’s the 20th and they just let us know, instead

Using their tenant portal app I attempted to communicate the fact that I had an interview and might be moving to see if they would initiate a tentative not committed possible move out since I was not sure I would get the job I interviewed for and they apparently did not read my message they waited weeks to email me and tell me where was the rest of my move out paperwork? I said I’m not they had a lawyer kick me out because they had already leased my rental to someone else. This was the second time they were my property manager and I’m not impressed with their communication skills they boasted

I contacted this rental company about seeing some places. They gave me two different sets of keys to check out to different houses, but when I tried to apply for said houses the rental company informed me that they had rented them out underneath me. I tried five more times to look at places and the exact same thing happened, be wary

I've been renting from them for 3years i think lol. But I have to say I am grateful, they make their Tennant's priority #1, especially when you need/have a maitance issue, they get it taken care of quick, & the people they send are nice, super friendly & explain things well. I had plumbing issues they sent a plumber, (I forgot who) but he was so irritated & was here for like 3hours on a Friday but not once did he snap at me or show frustration towards me, I offered him some tea afterwards, but there's a guy who comes & attends my yard & my neighbors & he's absolutely awesome, & always helpful.

I was a tenant for about a year. They were very thorough in their paperwork and responsive when I needed repairs. It was a new to them property, and I was new to Corvallis, so there were some things I would have liked to know, like there was two parking areas and I'm pretty sure I had well water. Overall, though, good experience.

Duerksen & Associates has managed a family property for over 20 years. During that time they were diligent in maintaining the property, they were responsive to tenants needs and they insured the property remained rented. I recommend using them to manage your property.

Terrible! Do not rent from this business. When my daughter and her friends moved out of the house they rented, Duerksen and Associates would not return their security deposit in full, claiming that the house was in need of some cleaning. This house was left in better condition than it was when they rented it! The girls thoroughly cleaned the house when they moved out, but where charged over $600 in cleaning fees! We were sent pictures of the so called cleaning issues which included dirt in the track of a sliding glass door and crumbs in the rubber seal of the refrigerator. It really looked like

DONT DO IT!!! Seriously. We were at our place for ONLY 6 months and had so many problems starting from a couple days since we moved in...we should have took that as a red flag but since moving in, we had constant problems in our place including MOLD!!!! It was horrible. You honestly get what you pay for..

I know it's difficult since they are the largest management company in Corvallis, but please avoid dealing with them if possible for your own sanity. Their operations are crooked. I think they have a well-developed master list of tricks to make sure your experience is the worst:
1. They told us the property is available, and told us to do online application and pay the $50/person application fee first. Only after we submitted our application and thought we finally get an apartment after weeks of researching, we were notified that these were just steps 2&3 of the application process

My family and I had rented from Duerksen for nearly three years. Whenever something needed fixing or replacing, it was taken care of within a day or two, and they never entered the rental without letting us know first. I'm seeing a lot of nightmare reviews on here. Truth be told, if you take care of the rental and follow the move out instructions, you'll get your deposit back. Of course they're going to deduct money to pay for the screen door that your cat destroyed. My advice to anyone looking to rent from Duerksen or any place for that matter; try to leave the place better/cleaner

The staff is extremely rude and unorganized. We waited two weeks to see an apartment they had been holding for my girlfriend and I. They never communicated with us. Every time we needed information on the availability of the apartment we had to call them. Finally, when we were allowed to see it, they called us and were extremely rude demanding an answer from us. Overall this office is very unorganized. After this experience, I can safely say I would never rent from them.

I imagine that managing affordable rentals is a hard job, and maybe that's why such rentals seem to be increasingly scarce. Fortunately, Corvallis has Duerksen & Associates doing just that in our small city. Their staff members have been kind and accommodating. They have renewed features of my complex, improving its visual appeal and making it feel more inviting. The only small criticism I might offer, which may help readers feel less skeptical of my five star review, would have to do with timeliness and clarity of communications, but this has been rare and minor. I do recommend renting from this

Honestly most of these reviews seem to me more like frustrated/expectant folks than anything. I have lived with Duerksen for years, moved around the area (Coldwell Banker, Kampfer, and privately owned apartments) and Duerksen is, in my opinion, one of the better options. In fact, I'm preparing to move back into a new rental with them. The thing is, I feel like people expect a lot out of a property management company. My experience is that if you take care of your place, clean it up pretty decently, and read through the terms of your deposits/fees/lease, you'll be fine.

If I could give no stars I would. AVOID IF YOU CAN! They have a lot of "cheaper" rentals close to campus but they do not take care of their rentals: they're not clean or even livable. They also do not respond to maintenance requests even if you go to the office to file them. They do not care about their tenants, only their tenant's money. Office staff are not on the same page either. Do not rent from them. You can find a lot better options.

The first generation, the people that built this company were nice and treated their tenants like human beings. Now, it is full of spoiled, lazy kids that got the business handed down to them. They will take your deposit without question even if you have pictures showing the damage done before you move in. The adults or shall I saw babies that work for this company are spoiled, rude, and entitled. Avoid this property at all costs.

Wish I could give no stars to be honest. This is the worst property management company in the state. Charged us extra money for a "excessive cleaning fee" even though we spent ALL DAY scrubbing the house clean. Luckily we took pictures because we knew that they would try to pull something like this on us. We sent them the pictures and they apologized and refunded our money but if we had not stood up to them they would have just taken our money. All of the are extremely rude people. I highly recommend choosing a different property management company. Let's help them lose business

I gave this property management a call to try and find out more information about a listed home for rent in Corvallis. The representative I spoke was mildly rude - an attitude that she had better things to do then to answer my questions or provide me with more information.
Aside from that, it's kind of silly (I'm thinking of a different word) that a potential renter can't apply for a house if they haven't viewed it yet. I live 2 hours away and the likelihood I'll get to see the place before several other potential renters get the opportunity is Zero.
