The Riverside is such a clean and professional place that I would recommend it to anyone. They make sure that you always get in contact with your loved ones. Unfortunately, my mother couldn't speak so they made it their business to make sure that we always had FaceTime visits with her. The therapists were great.

My mother has been there for a few weeks and the place is terrible. We had a meeting with the social worker who just didn’t bother to show up. She was moved without warning to another floor causing chaos in her care. The doctor who was seeing her admitted he hadn’t even read her chart and didn’t know she had gout, much less treat it. I’m only writing this as it’s clear you are responsive to your reviews so I am hoping you can actually attend to her care.

I would give zero stars if that was an option. The Riverside Center almost killed my husband during his 48 hours in the facility. The staff was incompetant and overwhelmed. The Riverside is NOT a skilled nursing facility.
My husband didn't have any of the machines in place when he arrived from Weill Cornell New York Presbyterian Hospital on 11/4/21. That included the feeding pump amd the BIPAP breathing machine, nor were his medications ordered and available. Only my agressive interaction with a very over worked nurse, Cassandra, on 11/5/21 got the medications and the pump started. On 11/6 none

I was visiting my cousin in the rehab facility. I found the check-in was organized and took safety as a priority, and the areas I visited were very clean. It was a bit warm in the room but I'm guessing the elderly patients need it to be warmer. Since it was a weekend I didn't see much staff there, but my cousin had no need to call them during our visit. Overall I thought it was a good place to take care of a loved one.

My experience at Riverside was very accommodating. The staff introduced themselves in a timely manner and an explanation of the job requirements was discussed. Furthermore I received additional information as to what was expected from me to succeed at this position.

Five years ago Mom was here 6 weeks for knee replacement. The Therapy was consistent and she was dancing in 2 months. The food had a lot to be desired but we adjusted. Mom arrived 1 week ago. She has not seen the same Therapist and has not had a decent HOT meal besides the first night of arrival. While we understand the staff constraints, RN striking for a new contract with picketing and loud protest, we are unable to receive any HOT meals or beverage. The staff is REALLY working hard and they ALL seem overworked, but in order to heal, take meds and work on the reason for the stay. She needs nourishment

My aunt’s elderly partner was discharged from Riverside without any equipment or follow-up care, despite an obvious need and a legal mandate for a visiting nurse within 24 hours. I was there for discharge, and witnessed the 12th floor staff threaten my 85-year old aunt for using the facility’s walker to get her partner to the elevator, even after we got permission from the floor supervisor to borrow it because his hadn’t arrived yet. They saw this man was severely disabled, and was a serious fall risk (he was there because of a bad fall!), yet was willing to discharge him with zero equipment

Warm, friendly and attentive staff. Very clean facility. My great cousin’s room was neat and tidy, and as she was in a corner room, filled with sunlight. The front desk was thorough during check-in. Only issue with my great cousin - stronger coffee, please (perhaps a Starbucks :)

I'm writing this review to draw attention to this facilities incapability in handling patients with more serious conditions.
Sadly, my mom passed away at this rehab center last week (July 24th, 2021) she was sent there in May after having 2 surgeries that needed attention, and could not be provided for at home.
From the the beginning, it was a struggle to get on the same page with her care team, but eventually after raising numerous and valid concerns with different ones, we finally got to some sort of a happy medium- but I always noticed the lack of support and neglect. They are under staffed

I would rate this rehab center 100 percent. The caring and work ethics to get you back to your everyday activities. There cleanliness is beyond. They facilitate you in your every day needs and beyond. I myself being a patient here helped me tremendously after suffering a severe stroke and i am leaving stronger then when I came in. My occupational and physical therapist Anthony and Carli were excellent. I will always be so grateful to have chosen The Riverside Rehab for my recovery.
