We were on the road, far from home and began hearing a rhytmic crunching noise coming from the rear wheel. Sounded serious, so we consulted auto repair shops in Nokomis. We settled on JB Auto Works after reading the reviews and we're not disappointed. Jim was polite and courteous, assessed our situation and gave us what appeared to be an honest estimate of our problem.
The price was fair and we left his very tidy shop with peace of mind. The work was done in what we considered to be excellent time. Our only regret is that he is not close enough to be our regular mechanic. My GF took her vehicle to two other "tire places" to address a loud cabin noise. She was told it was the front bearings in the wheel hub and the prices averaged 1300$.and it wouldn't be able to be done for days.

Had an awesome experience with JB Auto Works. Had truck towed in to shop Tuesday. Had to get a fuel pump they had it done by Friday of same week!! Exceptional customer service! They also gave a veteran's discount! Would definitely recommend to family and friends!!

Was referred by a good friend. She spoke highly of the shop. When I made my first call, Jim was very professional and personable. He was able to get me in fairly quickly, which I appreciated. I arrived early, was greeted very professionally and friendly. My car was seen right away and I was offered to sit outside or in the air conditioned office while I waited. Hey Jim, I just wanted to let you know I understand now what the vibration was in my 2006 Tundra after the differential oil change at your garage. The wrong oil was put in at your garage; Toyota Service in Venice, Florida said, it was "like water;" too thin to provide proper lubrication, it was not the correct differential oil. The vibrations became worse, clunking sounds and groaning sounds were getting worse. Luckily on Friday Toyota Service Center did a differential flush with the correct oil, & replaced it with the recommended differential oil. They gave me samples of what they removed from

There is no one better. Have taken my Yukon xl, Lexus and Volkswagen golf to Jim and his guys. He’s done a great job no matter how big or small the job. He’s honest and doesn’t pressure you into extra stuff. He will let you know if it needs to be fixed or give you a heads up of how much time it will last before needing it fixed, but he lets you make the call. He takes the time to explain the problem. This is by far the best mechanics in the area. Jim is honest and I trust him with my car and my boyfriend’s car. I’ve been going to his shop for 4 years and will never go anywhere else. He just saved me by rebuilding my fuse box on my Chrysler Sebring which the part is no longer manufactured. Very outstanding young man.

This place did my rear drum brakes. I did the front disc brakes myself but I knew that I can't do drum brakes so I need to get it done. Mine were shot. I asked them to check the front brakes to make sure everything was proper. They did check which gave me peace of mind. Well my car brakes better now and the petal is more firm.
When I got there to get my repair done, they called a taxi for me so I can get home while waiting for the repair to be done.
They were very honest and the owner Jim is a very nice guy. I recommend this auto repair shop.

Jim atJB auto works is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. When I first met him he stopped what he was doing and gave me his undivided attention. We discussed some business and he listened intently. He is a person of integrity and does what he says I highly recommend his shop for your automotive needs.
