For over 23 years, I have worked with clients to be the best they can be and look forward to working with you, to do the same. Additionally, I am trained EMDR Level 1, which is a bi-lateral visual technique, used especially to treat trauma. Along with grief and loss counseling (which I do), I do pet loss counseling.

In fact, I wrote a children's book, to help with pet loss, called Geadons' Gift, Surviving the Loss of Your Pet. Lastly, as a military veteran, I feel uniquely qualified to treat other vets, especially, those with PTSD, utilizing EMDR. So, if you're ready and motivated to work on your issue(s) you are dealing with, please contact me.

It can be very difficult and sad to say 'goodbye' to a beloved animal family member. I am here to offer compassionate therapeutic support in your healing journey. However, Heidi assist as she can find the time between naps and watching birds and bugs through the glass front door.

Ms. Underhill kissing and saying 'goodbye' to her beloved Pumpkin (13 yrs old), before having to make the very emotional decision to euthanize her (due to renal failure), in August of 2013.

Cheryl is a wonderful therapist! She encourages each of her clients to heal at their own pace, while also offering helpful mental and emotional tools along the way. If you are looking for a counselor to provide honest feedback, recommend educational resources, encourage self-reflection and hold you accountable, you're in the right place. Cheryl has made a very positive impact on my life and many people that I cherish dearly. I cannot recommend her enough!

I’ve been seeing Cheryl over a year, and can see tangible progress in my life and my marriage. Cheryl has high expectations of her clients which I greatly appreciate. She isn’t a “pat you on the back” therapist. She helps you walk through your issues and face hard things head on, in order to overcome them. Highly recommend.

Cheryl Underhill is a wonderful counselor. She is friendly, honest, & genuinely wants to help you. In my time there I’ve never experienced any rudeness or condescension. It is a very friendly atmosphere & she seems to be interested. She is very frank, but polite, & I appreciate that because I am going there to get help. She also is very organized & a strong leader. At first, she can come off a little strong, but having a strong leader is a good thing when you are seeking help. She is very organized & expects her clients to be organized as well. In my case it’s very helpful because I need the

My husband and I have been seeing Ms. Underhill for close to 2 years now as a couple and for individual sessions as well. I have learned so much about myself, communication, and how past traumas have affected my life personally and in marriage. My husband and I have been to previous therapy and the therapist we saw (we felt) pointed fingers and I felt "attacked" emotionally and verbally. It is complete opposite of what Ms. Underhill has done with us. She is very neutral and approaches situations with caution and is empathic towards each situation. I feel much stronger as a woman healing from past

I have been going to see Cheryl for almost 2 years. I've gone individually and with my spouse and I have never felt awkward or felt like she was trying to push her own narrative on my life and my situation. No matter how small my issue is she does not dismiss it or ignore it. She listens to the person and will new things in different sessions because I am hard-headed she has been very patient and adjusts each session accordingly for the topic at hand. Even when I decided I needed a break she did not push that I must come back she just made it known that I was welcome to come back anytime that I

Took my teenage daughter to one meeting with Ms. Underhill. It was the most surreal and confusing experience. She was very confrontational, most of the meeting was spent explaining fees and books she would require us to purchase.. she might have asked my daughter two questions. There were so many odd things too.. she requires you to write in a notebook.. and take notes.. then she checks it... like she checked my notebook like I was in kindergarten.. and if it was not the way she wanted it written, she made us rewrite it. She also asked me 4 times if I was my daughter's "REAL" mom.. "Like, I mean

Have been attending sessions with Cheryl roughly once per week since early 2019. I have nothing but fantastic things to say about her! Not only had she helped with severe anxiety, she has thought me to communicate and listen better. I owe who I am today in a large part to Cheryl’s guidance and abilities as a therapist. The books, the workbooks, the keeping of the appointments etc...it’s all to help focus and organize and the make the process easier. These tasks also help to hold you accountable, which she will also do if she ever makes a mistake. She is real, down to earth and is extremely
