Everyone has their own preference for food, but I'm giving Bay City Bistro 5 stars because it has ample seating inside (currently unavailable due to COVID-19 restrictions), some outdoor seating, the environment is always clean, the staff is friendly, I love the variety of food and drink options, and you can order online and pick up in a flash. They also offer catering at a very reasonable price, and were very accommodating when I requested preferential changes.

This place was a nice surprise in the midst of an industrial business park. We needed to pack some sandwiches for a hike across the bay and chose Bay City Bistro because it's proximity to 92.
We were sad to hear we were their first customers in two days. That being said they built my veggie sandwich to perfection. The carrots and cucumbers were nice and crunchy and there was a generous amount of avocado. It held together quite well for the few hours it sat in our backpack.
We will be back next time we're in the area!

Had a lunch break here. First visit and the place is well organized and clean. I ordered the Ruben sandwich with a side salad and a chocolate chip cookie. The Ruben was delicious. The bread was grill toasted, the corned beef was sliced thin and hot, and the dressing was the correct amount. I like sauerkraut and was pleased I asked for extra. The cookie was also delicious. It was thick without being dry and good quality chocolate chips. I recommend this spot and will be back.

I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich when it was still an option on the menu. The bread was toasted. But the sliced cheese was cold, hard, and looked straight out of the fridge. (AKA it wasn't cooked with the bread...) A grilled cheese sandwich isn't a difficult food item to make. But they failed at it. It was basically a cold cheese sandwich that happened to be between toasted bread. Go to Eden Plaza Cafe or Pot Pie Paradise around the corner for good tasty food that is made fresh and with love.

Great place to have lunch in the industrial part of Hayward. Burgers are suprsingly very tasteful. They always have something great on the special menu.
Weather your dining in or taking out. Food gets out quick. Portions are perfect for the value, plenty if seating, no worries about parking either. Owners are great people, so happy this place is close to my office.

I have been here 5 times now. The first time I waited in line to order. Since then, I have easily ordered on line. My order is always correct and always waiting for me. Considering I have limited time for lunch, this is a must for me.
The only one time i had a minor issue, the manager took care of it immediately.
The Steak and Cheese sandwich is my fave but I have tried others. Today I had the triple stack. Everything is always fresh and organized. The place is clean. I really really am happy having lunch at Bay City Bistro.

I believe the best things in this place are really their fresh ingredients. I have been here twice and just today I ordered Triple Decker; has ham, turkey, cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato with triple stacked sour doughs. It looks like a plain sandwich, but the taste is really incredible. And again, I believe it is due to their high quality fresh ingredients!
I recommend this place; those fresh ingredients have tendencies to have crisp sounds when you bite into them.
