I contacted BVH today for the first time. I was in the very sad and difficult position of finding assistance to put my mom's cat "to sleep". It was important to me that "Angel" be treated with dignity and care at the end- and she was. Life had become too difficult for our 19 year old "Angel" and BVH's Taylor and Dr. Wayne could not have been more understanding, kind and sincere. I was also treated with the same respect and very warm concern. I felt like "family" was taking care of both of us. I found the right place to let our sweet cat end

Dr. Cary was gentle and compassionate with my cat, but the front desk staff is very cold and incompetent. On 2 occasions, I was left standing at the desk with my meowing cat waiting to pay my bill, but the receptionist was on hold with a pharmacy and we had to wait. Apparently they cannot do 2 things at the same time. Even though I liked Dr. Cary, I will not go back.

Have been using the Bethany Veterinary Hospital for quite a few years. We have taken many cats there and 2 dogs. We rescue our dogs from local pounds. There is no better pet than a dog that has been rescued. Our Buster, a little Cairn Terrier, recently passed away from liver cancer. He was well taken care of by Dr. Jackson and Dr. Cary during the years that we had him. We have a cat with hyperthyroidism. Dr. Jackson found what was wrong with him quickly and he is on medication for the rest of his life. We don't have a lot of money and these doctors often work with us to keep the costs down

I took my old cat there to see Dr. Katherine Jackson. Had numerous issues with their service. My cat was ultimately diagnosed with cancer. When I asked the front desk about the fees for cremation they told me the fee only but never said it included the urn or even bothered to show me the urns. I learned after I bought an urn that the fee included an urn. They cost me extra money.
When I needed antiobiotic Dr.Jackson said I can drive to Bristol, Ct to pick up the medicine because they had none on hand and the pharmacy they use is in Bristol. No offer to ship it to my home or get it to their office

I have never felt passionately enough about any business to take the time to write an online review until now. I had taken my two dogs to Bethany for 5 years. Although I was never overly impressed with them (the place is dingy and rundown, often smells a bit of urine, cranky staff, long wait even though you have a scheduled apt, not warned by Dr. Wayland that my 13 lb dachshund could have a reaction to the amt of drugs given during an apt to cause him to limp and not be able to walk up and down stairs for 24 hours, infection after neutering, non-responsive to my calls when concerned about those

My wife and I have had a 13 year relationship with Dr. Cary and the staff at Bethany Veterinary Hospital. They have provided the highest quality pet care for our two Vizslas. Our experience started when our dogs were puppies and continued through to their last days on earth. Whether our dogs needed annual checkups, emergency care or we had a quick question, Dr. Cary was professional, compassionate, and always had time for us. Each health care issue that arose was explained in detail and I liked that we were always offered options on how to treat the problem. When you look at the big picture, their
