Kara Miller began her career in Women's Healthcare in 1995 when she received her Doula certification from the Seattle Midwifery School. Shortly after moving to Ashland, OR in 1997, she began working as a Midwives' Assistant in the Rogue Valley.

After attending a birth in which there was an acupuncturist present, she was inspired to pursue a Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon.After completing the program, she traveled to Nanjing, China for an intensive internship at the China Nanjing International Acupuncture Training Centre in the Gynecology department.

Jeremy Rothenberg recently joined Jade Mountain Medicine after 10 years of private practice in San Francisco, California. For more than ten years, I have successfully treated most chronic pain conditions, including migraine headaches, as well as mental health issues, such as insomnia, anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

My journey with Chinese healing practices began 30 years ago when I accidentally found myself in a Tai Chi and Qigong class. Having grown up with parents whose careers were in the Western Medicine system, my initial experience with these Chinese energetic exercises opened up a whole new understanding of how we function as both physical and energetic beings.

As a child, I lived with a rare chronic auto-immune disorder that resulted in seizures and other painful neurological symptoms. I struggled to keep it a secret, desperately longing to fit in and feel "normal". My symptoms persisted into adulthood. After many disappointing - and sometimes traumatic - trips to the doctor, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
