It starts out small, but then it is all consuming. The idea that no one should be trapped by the difficulties that keep all of us from being confident and functioning at our very best. That is our goal. That's why we do what we do. We were meant to share our dream. Trauma occurs on many levels and creates changes in emotions, thinking and behavior that are uncomfortable for us and for those with whom we share our lives.
We all have day to day stressors; however, some of those are more difficult to cope with, and some of us may witness traumatic events, or be a victim or survivor of a traumatic event.

Ann Suabedissen, LPC, ACS, RP is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor and Reiki Practitioner who is the head of the Next Step Counselling Center. Ann has brought her unique, caring and understanding 'team' philosophy to the practice. Patients of Next Step have been known to experience success where other therapies have not.
Through the years we have met many wonderful people, their families and friends. Some have gone through minor adjustments, others, major changes and even others have just made the decision to better their lives. Nothing touches our lives more than to hear comments about how we have made a difference in theirs.
