Vagner is an amazing teacher! He is very knowledgeable, personable, has a great sense of humor and gives attention to each and every student in class. Vagner and the other instructors are also excellent with the kids program! VRMA is a great school for all ages! I joined this school less than a Year ago and I only have good things to say.
Defined as a martial art form that teaches a smaller, weaker opponent to defeat a bigger, stronger opponent by use of technique, leverage, and joint manipulation such as chokes, arm-locks, etc. Made famous in the U.S. by Royce Gracie with his early dominance in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).
Boxing and kickboxing classes at Vagner Rocha Martial Arts are available for both men and women (ages 14 and up). These are designed to be extremely informative, hands on, fun, and upbeat, all while providing a great total body workout. Prospective students should not be intimidated by their current fitness level, as classes are designed to allow each individual to train and excel at their own pace.
These classes are Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi with striking, live sparring, wrestling, as well as submission techniques. Although there are many Broward County martial arts schools claiming to train you in MMA, you should be very careful. Many of these instructors have never fought in MMA events, or have never trained an MMA fighter at a high level.
The Vagner Rocha Martial Arts Academy Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program is the safest and most relevant training your child can receive. All children are welcomed and encouraged to come train at our school regardless of their current strengths and abilities. We pride ourselves in building self confidence, physical fitness and self discipline in every child.

Spent a week training here with Vagner and his guys. I am a black belt from Canada and I have been in gyms all over the world. I always knew Vagner as a world class competitor and coach, but he’s also a world class man and helped me tons while I was in town. Thanks! Clean gym, great instruction, welcoming.

Great place to train. Some of the best talented kids and coaches in the country. Audreys game has improved 10 fold over the past year. Special thanks to Jasmine Rocha for working with Audrey in private sessions after coming back from an injury. Jasmine was a big help in bringing Audreys game to where it is today. Highly recommend this Academy for kids and adults. Thank you Rocha family, Billy, Adrian, and the rest of the coaches that make it all possible.

I researched many schools before enrolling my 6 year old son here. I definitely made the right choice. The coaches are great. They always have alot of coaches at every practice to ensure these kids get plenty of one on one training. I highly recommend this school to any parent interested in their kids learning jiu-jitsu.

First of all my family and I have never been to this gym. I'm just a father of 2 boys that are very active in the competition scene in our area. We are from central Florida, my two sons routinely wins or at least place in all the tournaments they enter. Whenever the kids from this gym shows up at any of our local tournaments. They totally dominate the competition. They beat the best kids from our area that never loses, and they make it look easy. I don't know what they are doing here at this gym, but apparently its working. My 2 sons are at the top of their class. They are getting bored because

This gym has been a God sent to our family! Love the way they care and protect our children! Very family oriented. They have something for everyone. While my kids train I am able to exercise with the ladies! Everyone has been very supportive on every level! If your looking for a home gym for everyone in the family this is the place!
