I have used Argyle Auto Care for about 10 years for routine maintenance on 3 different vehicles. It is convenient to my house and I like supporting a local business. Last month a headlamp bulb went out in my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee so i purchased the recommended bulb at OReilleys and took my vehicle in for what i thought would be a quick inexpensive replacement. BUT NO!!!!! They informed me that they would have to remove the bumper and replace the entire headlight assembly on both sides for $1600!!!!! Used to love this place. It's two doors down from where I live so super convenient. And the people there were always good at explaining what your car needs vs. what it could use. Now it's impossible to get in same day. They're pretty much appointment only. And when I explain what's going on with my tire pressure they tell me its $128 for diagnostics not including repairs. I just feel like that's a lot. I hate to take my business elsewhere because in the past they've always been good to me. But now it's so hard to get in and they don't even sound confident that they're able to fix my car.

First off, the tech was nice and honest. Also, Cash (I think a manager) was extremely pleasant to deal with. However, the service writer that sits on the left (not going to post his name) is pretty condescending. I witnessed his tone with an elderly man about his request to have his A/C looked at, and truck parked inside at night. It made me feel awkward and embarrassed. Secondly when my 3 year old vehicle (60k miles) suddenly had 6 URGENT needs. When I questioned him, the attitude became thick again. Had an issue with our 08’ Kia. We took a look at the timing, which checked out fine. After putting everything back together, the car would not start. Had the car towed here. Mechanic said it was a bad gasket install. Once we picked it up, our car had a strong whistling noise and started over heating. Another shop bled the coolant and fixed the over heating. This shop had filled the coolant and did something to cause the whistling noise which still hasn’t gone away.

Don't even bother. I've stopped by twice and each time i was turned away. "We won't be able to get you in today." The first time i came right before lunch time and the second time, weeks later, it was around 2pm. I pulled in and saw two empty bays and only one person in the lobby. Twice I've wasted time trying to get my oil changed here and twice I've been turned away. Don't even bother. Go down 407 three more miles and you'll get in every time.

My issue is that they constantly over charge for repairs. I have found them on many occasions utilizing OEM inflated list prices and exaggerated labor times for repairs.
Your average customer generally does not know how to identify this, but I understand the work and how it is charged for.
They are however quick to change prices and labor times when called out, but this only benefits me and not your average customer.

When we moved to the 76226 area I was looking for a place to take our two vehicles for all our maintenance and preventive maintenance. I saw the Argyle Auto Care from 377 so I visited them a couple days later. Every since we have taken our vehicles to AAC. I usually call ahead and I ask for Billy Jack and he has never lead me astray yet.
Whatever we contracted them to do they have done correctly and we are very satisfied with that relationship.

I had AC dripping water into the passenger compartment. A pretty common issue happening when the AC drain gets clogged. For just looking at the car they wanted from $55 to $105. Just for giving an estimate.
I'm very glad I went away and saved that amount by going to another auto repair shop, which FOR FREE quickly fixed the problem just by pumping air in the drain having all the water coming out from underneath the car.

I have a 22+ year old Honda that had several fluid leaks recently. After having it towed to Argyle Auto Care, Brad quoted me a fair price for the repairs and had it fixed on time. While on a drive three days later, the under engine cover came loose, dragging beneath the car and making a horrific noise. I stopped, called Brad, and explained my dilemma. Within 30 minutes he had a mechanic come to my location and remove the cover so I could continue driving it. Needless to say, I'm very impressed with their level of service and professionalism!

The people who work at Argyle Auto are very good. The processes they use are not customer friendly. The store does not offer appointments for oil changes. Today I called at 1:30pm to see if there was a wait. They said 30-45 minutes. It ended up being well over an hour. Instead of 2 desk clerks, only 1 because other took late lunch. At one point there were 5 people in line. Then the clerk said their computer was running slow and could not print my ticket! I hope the owner improves processes very soon instead of asking his employees to apologize for long waits.

I have taken my family cars to these guys since they opened. They remember my name and always try and get me in and out quickly. Today I took my new truck 2019 Ram (2,300) miles by there to listen to a sound in the front end. Turned out the factory didn't tighten the tie rods when it was built. They got it on the lift and had me out in under 10 minutes and wouldn't take any payment. They really do take care of people if there is any way they can. That's been my experience.

I took my F150 in for a noise coming from the accessory section of the engine, hoping it wouldn't be too expensive. What they didn't know was that they were actually auditioning for my business (I have 3 vehicles).
Argyle Auto Care passed with flying colors! They probably could have upsold me on a bunch of services, but they took care of the problem directly and it didn't cost a lot of money. Friendly and professional service. The facility is clean and comfortable. I'll be going back.

Our truck broke down on the highway on our way back to Denver from our baby shower in Houston. We were able to barely make it to Argyle Auto Care, just under an hour before the close. They wouldn't do a diagnostic. They didn't try to help in any way. They stated that regardless of the situation we could not be seen until tomorrow.. even though I showed them pictures of our intake that's clearly loose. Had major problem on truck.. stablitrack was off and could not steer.. doing research found could have been big expensive and almost no sure repair.. truck towed to aac expected to run diagnostics and find a big issue.. but did not... was only a blown 80 amp fuse.. they had it repaired and ready in less than 2 hours.. did not upsell did not see any other problems .. $130. what a relief...

I took my sisters car here when it did not start consistently. They were able diagnose and repair it all in the same day. I was over joyed because other places could not do until the next day and that would not work out due to our schedule.
