You may be surprised, but even though I am a photographer, I hate being in photos. I hate being posed. I am super self-conscious about every bit of the process when I am in front of the camera. When I've had a session with my husband or family, the images I like most are when I'm doing something and forgetting that a camera is there.
I am a natural light lifestyle and documentary photographer. I have so many different types of photography I love capturing. I think variety keeps me from getting bored and lets me be creative, allowing me to create the best experience for you and your family.
I specialize in lifestyle and documentary photography, and you'll see that I do a little bit of everything-maternity, newborns, families, children, couples, seniors, headshots, and even military homecomings, re-enlistments, and promotions.I've even done special projects, documenting special events!

One of my favorite ventures so far with photography has been doing collaborations with small businesses. I have worked with a number of small businesses and been able to trade services; they have given me products, and I have been able to take a variety of pictures for them. Most of my products have been for my kids' rooms, but I have even been able to get gifts for clients and my husband!

Teresa’s patience and approach to lifestyle photography was more than I could have hoped for with our Mommy & Me session. She is wonderful with children and tries to capture real moments between her subjects. I love to take time to look at the captured memories every now and then as a reminder of how quickly these moments fly by. We are looking forward to having Teresa capture our Christmas family photos this year as well.

Teresa did an amazing job with my family including our 3 year old daughter. We had our session in the best part of the day, golden hour. Our daughter did not nap but I knew Teresa would make it work. Teresa had her engaged the entire time and captured us playing with her and all those little details in her personality. The lifestyle/documentary approach was a perfect fit for our family because we just had fun and Teresa was there to capture it all. As a fellow photographer, I highly recommend TCJ Design!

Teresa is amazing! She came to our home for a newborn photo session. Prior to the session, she was very helpful in helping me decide which types of photos we wanted to get. During the session, she was so professional and worked so hard to make sure that the baby was comfortable and that we would have a multitude of awesome shots at the end. We were blown away by the end result--we literally loved every picture. We will absolutely be using TCJ Designs in the future for all of our family photography needs!
