We are Steve & Jane Pilkerton and we are wedding photographers serving Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland. We don't require that the setting be perfect in order to take stunning photographs, and we don't ask you to do silly poses or pretend. We do produce gorgeous lighting in an instant whenever it's needed, and we know how to read emotion and anticipate the moments that matter most to you. We were born and raised in the DC Metro area so we are familiar with all the best locations for your wedding and engagement portraits.

Jane and Steve are absolute professionals! They were amazing to have at our wedding. They fit right into the day and made everyone feel comfortable behind the camera. My veil had a sewn on tag that I hadn't noticed before and before I even had a chance to react Jane already had a seam ripper in hand. They truly are prepared for everything and got an awesome shot of my grandma fixing the veil. They were also so open to creative fun shots. My wedding was on Halloween so I wanted this shot of my husband and I leading our friends down this staircase with a lantern while they were all looking spooked

Steve and Jane did my engagement photoshoot and my wedding photography in northern Virginia in March 2018.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about them! While we had a team of amazing vendors for our wedding, Steve and Jane are by far THE BEST CHOICE my husband and I made. We found them through a local wedding expo; by that time, we already had an excellent photographer in mind, but then we saw their pieces at the expo and could not get their artwork out of our heads.

After meeting with several photographers we realized that we had hit the jackpot with Steve and Jane. We loved their unique style and team dynamic. During throughout wedding day they were extremely calm and organized and we couldn’t be happier with their photos, they really captured the spirit of our big day and our personalities. They took great candid and portrait photos and had some fund ideas for taking cool shots while everyone was dancing. We would strongly recommend them to any of our friends or family and enjoyed working with them.
