NY Center For Living
Whether you are an adolescent struggling to stop vaping or you are returning from a more intensive treatment setting, our programs are designed to meet your needs while maintaining connections to your family and education. Through our in-person and telehealth programs we can provide convenient support to you and your family.

Our outpatient program for young adults spans the developmental stages of emergent adulthood to young adulthood (18-30). We are flexible in our programming and can design a treatment plan to meet your needs. Our goals are to foster the emotional, collegial, vocational and social well-being of the individual within a family-based model.
Services
None of our work would be possible without our team of innovative leaders, and some of New York's most respected clinicians with decades of experience in their field. Our team all share a passion to help young adults, adolescents and their families to succeed in finding sustainable recovery and a fulfilling life.
In 2007, Elizabeth Kabler recognized that there were no outpatient treatment programs focused on adolescents and young adults in the city. To address that need, Mrs. Kabler organized a board of trustees and founded New York Center for Living as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, making it the first adolescent and young adult treatment center of its kind in New York City.
We would like to welcome you and your family to New York Center for Living. Whether you are an adolescent, college-bound student or young professional, our mental health and substance use program is designed to match your particular age and stage of life.

In fact, NYCFL is the only NYS licensed non-profit treatment program located in an intimate setting in the heart of New York City, and easily accessible through telehealth, that offers a wide array of treatment options exclusively designed for adolescents, young adults and their families.Unlike many other cookie-cutter treatment programs, we do not think of "recovery" merely as a reset to a state of abstinence.
New York Center for Living (NYCFL) is a New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) certified outpatient program. New York Center for Living is the only program in New York City exclusively dedicated to the treatment of substance use challenges facing adolescents and emergent adults.
The New York Center for Living is a not-for-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status from the United States government. Driven by the mission and vision of bringing high quality treatment to New York City, Elizabeth Kabler established an endowment for the foundation of the New York Center for Living.

The staff truly care about their clients. As a family member of someone who was treated there I can say they have done an amazing job. It shows every time I speak to my sister.

I work as a mental health professional and have had a VERY positive experience working with Center for Living. They are extremely responsive and accommodating. While working with the populations that I work with, they have provided invaluable information around substance use and ways to reach out for support. They are an incredible resource for education around substance use.

I am a Rabbi and a few of my congregants who are parents of teens came forward and asked for the tools on how to talk to / deal with their teen's around drugs and alcohol. Their session was wonderful and everyone found it insightful and helpful. Parents left feeling like they had the tools to deal with these very complicated issues.

Every person we encountered at CFL was warm, responsive and pro’s at what they do which is to help you heal. From the administrators all the way to the board members and not to mention the therapist and drs. To every parent out there whose child is struggling with addiction or mental health problems I highly recommend CFL.

Absolutely terrible experience here!!! I did the IOP, and not only was the individual therapy not helpful, the group therapy was a JOKE. the staff is judgemental and gives you negative feedback if you don't let them control every aspect of your life. Even though I only attended for two months, I received bills for the drug tests over the next YEAR. This institution might look nice but it is a complete scam. they only care about taking your money and not about the individual at all!! Please do not send your loved one here, put the extra effort into creating a customized aftercare program so that

Horrible experience. Clients there who are extremely mentally ill, and need higher level of care. All about the money not the well-being of their clients. Male clients extremely innapropriate sexually with no consequences. Clients who are female cannot come forward if they feel violated with out getting kicked out. Because what treatment center wants a law suit? Typical money hungry substance abuse treatment center. Please think twice before letting a loved one go to treatment here.

My experience as a client of New York Center for Living was undeniably one of the most important parts of my success in early sobriety. While under the care of their highly trained clinical staff, I was provided with the comfort of a safe therapeutic environment. At CFL I was surrounded by highly motivated young adults who were eager to work on navigating the challenges we faced in early sobriety as a team. I've been through various IOP programs and can earnestly attest that CFL offers a unique and all encompassing program, tailored to my individual needs at every step. I would, and have, suggested

The center for living changed my life. I would not be where i am today without the support of the incredible clinicians and honest and kind hearted clients at this place. Being someone who has attended multiple treatment centers and seen countless therapists I can say that the Center for Living has been the most helpful and affective of them all. I would and have recommended many people to seek treatment here. Jared, one of the primary therapists, has been so genuine in truly wanting the best for my well being and has been the most helpful therapist I have ever had. I can't thank this place and
