I have a Masters of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and have worked as a cognitive retraining specialist for over 17 years in a renowned community college based program for individuals with acquired brain injuries. In addition, I have been the owner of Brain Injury Rehab OC for 8 years, delivering individualized cognitive retraining services in the homes of ABI survivors.
Services are available to both the individual who has acquired the brain injury and for their caregivers. A caretaker who bas been educated about how a brain injury can manifest, is much better able to support the survivor. A deeper understanding of how damage to the brain has effected their loved one, can help the caregiver(s) better address and cope with the multitude of possible challenges.
