My name is Chris Jones. I have been a Knoxville, TN resident since 2013. At a young age I learned a special and unique way to pan-fry taco shells. Since I have moved to Knoxville, I have yet to taste a tortilla that is similar to mine. It occurred to me that this was the perfect opportunity to share my secret with the people of East Tennessee.

Honestly was pretty annoyed about 15 minutes ago. I drove a little ways, waited in line for a bit, got my food, and drove home to realize my order was wrong 😡ðŸ˜
I called in and was met with extraordinary customer service. Many apologies and offers to fix it however they could. I understand mistakes happen, it was frustrating of course, but the way CJ handled it speaks volumes to his business. I couldn't be upset anymore after hearing he was truly apologetic and wanted to make it right however he could.
Highly, highly recommended.

I honestly will not be back. Dude deliberately tried to charge me more for my order than it was. Then played dumb like he heard something he know i didnt say at all. How can i ask for something i didnt even know was a choice on the menu. I encourage everyone to get an itemized receipt. And have him repeat your order back before u pay.

I think I have pretty confidently decided that these are the best tacos I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. It was a close race between these guys, Sabor Catracho off of Merchants and Joe T. Garcia’s in Fort Worth, TX.
These tacos are mouth watering, flavorful and fresh. Great sauces. Yum! Now I’m hungry.

Their taco truck was at 35 Degrees North for their opening. Have to say of the three food trucks that showed up, CJ's had the worst food and service of the three. Waited 35 minutes to get two greasy cold tacos and chips and salsa that came from Target. The other two food trucks served patrons quickly with quality food. 35 Degrees North would be better off putting them on probation or firing them outright.
As a side note I tipped them 20% before knowing their service and quality. This is the second bad review I have given a food service establishment in my life. I typically would ignore

TDLR: Every taco I had was Great. Best Non Traditional Taco in Knox.
It's a hidden Gem in the Embassy Suites. Walk straight in all the way to the back then up the stairs. Then turn left.
I had all of the signature tacos and they were all great in their own way. Definitely the best tacos in downtown. Also the chips and Queso is great too. You can't go wrong

Went to the Garth Brooks Concert and had a long wait for food and prep time took longer than expect. I left a review voicing my concern and CJ reached out to me to correct the wrong and apologizing for what happened. The tacos were great and CJ is focused on customer service and happiness. Highly recommend.

I thought I had already yelped CJ's Tacos but apparently I have not. While I have a favorite sit down taco place, I now also have a favorite food truck. CJ's Tacos is something you just have to experience because you will NOT get what they have anywhere else. No one else has what they have. (The same goes for my fave sit down taco place too, though.)
We went on a rainy day and were grabbing tacos to take home. Sure, there was a little wait but they make the tacos fresh right there. So, what do you expect? If there is a long line in front of you and they are making everything in the order

The tacos were very very greasy. As in dripping grease. I got the buffalo, fusion and potato taco. The buffalo did have good flavor but was drowning in sauces which made the shells soggy and break. The other two tasted just like grease with lettuce. It was also very very overpriced. Wouldn't recommend.

For me tacos from a truck is a no no. I was at casual pint and the food smelt so good. I decided to try this place. The food was yummy. They took some time to deliver the food as per truck standards. It meant they prepared fresh food. The food had good aroma and flavor to it. It tasted like a real taco. It was worth for the price.

The Asian fusion taco was amazing, probably the best taco I've ever had. I got the original as well and it was also delicious, as was the salsa that came with my chips. We got our food pretty quickly, and the tacos were normal sized, contrary to other reviews. I think prices are reasonable for the quality of the food you get. Definitely will be recommending CJs as an addition to my work's truck rotation.

CJ's Tacos set up shop outside my office last week and I was so excited to try his tacos; I had heard good things about his food! I will say that they tacos were good, but I waited over 35 mins for 3 tacos and heard others in line saying they were considering getting their money back due to the wait. I ordered an original, Asian Fusion and Buffalo chic. I usually don't leave my office for lunch due to time, but with a taco truck in my parking lot I was sure I could get lunch and enjoy it before needing to get back to work, but unfortunately, I waited out in the hot sun for my order and

I was really excited to try this food truck, but was pretty disappointed in the end. I ordered two CJ's original tacos, and my boyfriend ordered one original and one buffalo chicken. The price of four tacos, a bottle of water, and a sprite was $25! We didn't knock it at that, and thought "well, they must be big tacos." What we got were small, hard-shell, about the size of Taco Bell tacos. They didn't even give us two paper food baskets, they put all of the tacos in one if that tells you how small. I am a really light eater and I was still starving after eating here, so
