We are a BBQ Food Truck / Caterer located on the NW side of Grand Rapids, MI. We will cater anything from a 10 person meeting/training to a lunch or wedding for 225 people. Our low and slow Central Texas Style BBQ reflects the passion we have for creating and serving amazing food. Our Menu includes Brisket, Pulled Pork, Ribs, Chopped Chicken, Sausage, and our signature Chorizo.
We also offer multiple sides including our BBQ Baked Beans, 3 Cheese Mac N Cheese (highly addictive), Pasta Salad, Potato Salad and more. We also do an amazing Taco Bar to mix it up a bit! Sobie Meats is a staple on the Westside of Grand Rapids. Tim and Teresa believe in supporting other local businesses and have strived to do this since they opened. They buy local raised pork/produce and the service could not be better! We buy all of our meats from Sobies!

When we serve food in public places such as Rosa Parks Circle, a Brewery, or a food truck rally we also offer a Meat Sampler for $13. The Meat Sampler includes a 1/3lb of Chicken, Pork, and Brisket, white bread and a kosher dill spear. If you would like to treat your group to some amazing BBQ/sides we charge $12.99 per person (plus tax).

I hired Bryce to cater a post Covid wedding reception in the park for my son and his wife. From start to finish, Bryce was responsive, clear, fair and amiable. I knew we were in good hands and we were. One thing that impressed me is he assured me he would not charge me full price for the multitude of little kids who would be there, and he didn't! The brisket was moist and flavorful and the side dishes were all fresh and tasty. The communication leading up to my event was so easy. They showed up on time and set up quickly and was very nicely done. They provided everything we needed and really made my event so easy and less stressful. All my guests had rave reviews and I thought it was delicious! I personally recommend the chicken!!! But honestly it was all so good! Highly recommend!

Thank You to Pork Fat Slims! You did an outstanding job with your service, food, and friendliness. The guest shared that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. All three types of meat were fantastic, of course, the macaroni and potatoes were a hit as well. Having BBQ in the winter is the way to go.

I work at an event venue in Traverse City and recently did a wedding where Porkfat Slim's did the catering! We had 160+ guests! They were top notch and easy to work with! Food was amazing, they were right on time and hustled to make sure that the buffet line constantly had full containers of food! I would highly recommend them for your next event!

Slim's comes to my job every once in a while and whenever they come, I'm so happy with life! They have some of the best bbq I've ever had. Definitely top 5! I tried their pulled chicken and baked beans and it's seriously got soul! On another occasion, I had their beef brisket and mac and cheese and they always exceed my expectations. You guys also need a restaurant! Please!

This BBQ is incredible! We ordered catering for a large group and everyone raved about it. Their meats are savory and tender, and I could have eaten the mac n cheese until I burst. They make their own sauces which are also unique and flavorful. They also make a dish called the "bacon explosion." It's even more incredible than it sounds...
