Services
In 1921 my grandfather, John T. Clayton, began working in the funeral business. He and my grandmother, Margaret Clayton, operated Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Homes throughout Northeast Texas. In 1961, following his tour of duty in the Navy, my father David continued a tradition, graduated from mortuary school and joined the family business.
Cremation services can be conducted as any other traditional services with cremation being the final disposition. A simple cremation tribute is also an option for your family. We can provide memorial services for you loved ones at any time in the future. Memorial services can take place at the funeral home, churches, parks, or in a families home.
Dear John, Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your superior and excellent service. You should know I've never met anyone that did the work like you did! It matters that you go above and beyond the limits of most funeral directors. You treated me like family and that is so unheard of today in this world.
Traditionally, a burial service involves a visitation, followed by a funeral service in a church, or other place of worship. The casket is typically present at both these events, and it is your decision on whether to have the casket open or not. You have the option of having the remains interred (earth burial), or it may be entombed in a crypt inside a mausoleum (above ground burial).

Mr. Clayton is truly a blessing, a wonderful man. He has a heart larger than the seas. When my mother passed away I knew that I could trust in Mr. Clayton and his staff. Being there before with my brother and grandmother I knew that we would be treated with love, kindness and respect. Mr. Clayton did not let me down. He planned everything we wanted, respected our wishes and explained everything step by step. Even during the Covid-19 pandemic, he ensured that all our family and friends were safe, adhering to safety guidelines. The help but most importantly the compassion he showed me and my family

John and the staff at Clayton Funeral Home did a wonderful job in caring for my mother after her passing. From start to finish, they handled every detail with care and precision.
