Hi, I am Dr. Douglas Head. Practicing orthodontics allows me to improve my patient's health and appearance and is the best job I can imagine. I love my work! Since my start in orthodontics in 2000, I enjoy going to the office each day, spending time with great patients, and being supported by an exceptional orthodontic staff.
Here at Head Orthodontics, we offer a variety of treatments that can cover your needs. While many think of orthodontics as braces, our treatments include Phase 1 Orthodontics (known as early treatment), Phase 2 Orthodontics, Adult Treatment, Invisalign and Retention. With all of these treatment options, we can fulfill the requirements that you expect from any renowned orthodontist and make sure that your experience is satisfactory.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an initial orthodontic evaluation by no later than age 7. By being proactive with an early exam, early treatment options may be available to guide growth and prevent more serious problems later. Though an orthodontist can enhance a smile at any age, there is an optimal time period to begin treatment.

When I was a student at Wheaton College, I lost (or broke) my upper removable retainer multiple times. Dr. Head was one of the few places I went to to get a new retainer.
His office is very nice, and his office staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Head, himself, is pretty good, though I can't speak to him that much, since replacement retainers take such little time and commitment from the orthodontist. In fact, when I came back to pick up the retainer after it was molded to my mouth, I'm pretty sure Dr. Head never even saw me come in.
The price of the retainer was quite fair,

Dr. Head did a great job on both of my boys.
Their teeth look great.
They only need 1 set of braces and no teeth pulled, unlike others.
His office runs like clockwork and he is personally involved with each patient and parents. One of the receptionists could be a bit more down to earth, but who cares.. He is great...
