Smokin' Barrel BBQ is a family-owned and operated dining experience. Established in 2016 by Mike and CJ McFarland as a backyard competition, Smokin' Barrel BBQ has become Central Indiana's new savory sensation. The McFarland family is community focused, actively involved in 4H and other church and school groups.
Our passion is great food with friends and family. Our menu of tender meats is keto friendly, with dry rubs that are sugar free. Sauce is not boss with us - our meats stand alone. All of our meats - brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and chicken - are smoked low and slow over locally sourced and seasoned wood.

This Is the best BBQ in town hands down!
As a side note if you like amazing tasting things you have to try the coleslaw. I know you're thinking "coleslaw? It's coleslaw. How good can it be" I get it coleslaw is not really my jam either usually but for real it's the bee's knees. All their food is supes tastes for real.

We’re regulars at Smokin’ Barrel…. Nearly every week, my husband starts craving some great BBQ by Wednesday and then counts down until SB opens on Thursday to get his favorite brisket! This past Saturday we ordered 3lb pulled pork for a taco bar at my daughter’s fiesta and everyone was raving about how delicious the pork was!

I ordered a pound of rib tips and my girlfriend got a brisket dinner with the corn casserole and mac and cheese. The brisket and tips were some of the best barbecue that I've had. I'm not much for sides, but my girlfriend said the Mac and cheese was delicious and unique and the corn was also really good. The employees all seemed really friendly as well. I love finding a new spot where everything exceeds my expectations and I look forward to going back and trying some other meats from their menu!

They did a wonderful job communicating, preparing and delivering exactly as they promised for a party I had. A total of 13 pounds of meat and every single bit of it was amazing. My crowd was complimenting it the whole time. Thanks again Smokin Barrel Barbeque! You should have some new customers for sure!!

It’s BBQ the right way! I’m not a foodie but eating their food makes me understand when people say “the bite explodes with flavor!” Mac n cheese is personal side favorite but my husband has to HAVE their green beans. Highly recommend if anywhere near this spot and want some easy, quick, amazing food. It’s not only made with love but served with love too. Thanks for being our bbq spot :)

I am only a little bias about the banana pudding 😜Make sure to ask for the secret menu that the staff put together. It will make their day. Ordering is super easy, place order and pickup time. This particular barbecue is not a chain that is a local owned business and the food is better than most barbecue places.
Fast forward to tonight 6/25/21. I got the pulled pork, Mac and cheese and green beans, my husband got same but with slaw it was totally not up to par. The pork and Mac and cheese were under cooked. The pork had no smoked taste and was quite fatty. Unfortunately hubby said not again. I guess I will stick with Thursday bingo only. .

We live very close by but have not stopped in yet. Today, we ordered online and picked up. The reviews and pictures convinced us to give it a go. We were craving something a little different and this definitely hit the spot.
The brisket was very good. I enjoyed the flavor and the bark. The sauce, served on the side, perfectly complements the meat. The meat moat certainly stands alone, though. I ate quite a bit of the brisket and rib tips without any sauce. The sauce is thin, and like a sweet and sour profile. Very, very good and a nice change of pace from the sauce fiends here in the North.
