Dr. Trotter and Dr. Patel share not only a passion for dentistry but also a genuine love for each other. While they started their relationship in dental school, their love continued to blossom during their residency programs. After Dr. Patel surprised Dr. Trotter with a proposal at the Columbus, Ohio airport gate, they had a beautiful and memorable wedding in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Trotter and her staff specialize in pediatric dentistry, which means our focus is on treating infants, children, and adolescents. Below are common questions and our answers about the best way to care for children's teeth. When should I schedule my child's first visit to the dentist? We recommend that you make an appointment to see the dentist as soon as your child gets his first tooth.
Knocked out baby tooth? If you are unsure, contact your pediatric dentist as soon as possible. The baby tooth should not be put back in place to prevent the chance of damaging the developing adult tooth. Chipped or fractured tooth? Contact your pediatric dentist immediately. For major fractures extending to the nerve of the tooth quick action may prevent infection and reduce the need for extensive dental treatment.

I called Trotter & Patel this morning in a state of panic after my 2 year old son suffered a severe injury at daycare yesterday and every dentist near by had already closed for the day. I was referred to them after another place couldn’t see him due to their staff taking a continuing education course. Brittany at the desk was extremely helpful and… despite having a fully booked day, they offered to see my son in between clients. I am so glad I got in with them! We had our first visit for my son today. I had always heard such wonderful things about the office but now I can totally agree after experiencing it for ourselves. Eden was so sweet and gentle with my son. Dr. Shoemaker was very personable and thorough in his exam. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the practice after our first visit. So glad to have such a great practice close to home.

Highly Reccomend for orthodontics! Our pediatric dentist had tried to sell us a on a new product called healthy start for our child's teeth that came in higher in his gums than they are supposed to, so we went for a second opinion due to concerns about it being a removable mouth piece versus an appliance affixed in the mouth. Dr. Patel had an opportunity to say yes he needs braces now and here is what our price is. Instead he said, your child does not need them right now but if the issue is causing self esteem issues then I can see doing it and we can help, but he is healthy and we can address

Can’t say enough good things about this practice! From the front desk staff to the hygienists to the Providers - they always go above and beyond in any way they can. We love it here! I searched high and low for the best pediatric dentist office, and I’m confident I found it! The whole staff is incredibly nice. They make it a pleasant experience for kids and parents. The… office is nautical theme, gorgeous, and fun for kids. I drive about 40 minutes just for him to be able to go to them because I am so impressed with everything!

We have been seeing Dr Trotter since 2016 and we love our cleaning visits there, but today we had a dental emergency and Dr Trotter came in on a Saturday to take care of my little guy. She made sure to listen to my little guy to keep him calm, she told him everything she was doing so there were no surprises. She really cares about her little… patients and their dental hygiene, she in NOT in the nickel and diming people business which so many dentists seem to be. We live in Woodstock and gladly make the trip to her office for her exceptional care. Our family can't sing enough high praise

These people are saints. Every team member we interacted with was amazing. This was the first dentist appointment for both of my kids, and I was truly dreading it. Not one tear was shed and they knew just how to make both kids feel comfortable. It's such a relief to find such a good dentist office for my kids! Thanks y'all!

My son is 2.5 and had his first dental visit ever at Trotter & Patel this morning. They were AMAZING! He had so much fun and can’t stop talking about when he gets to go back to “my dentist” again! They were so patient, kind, and approachable-explaining and exploring all the equipment and procedures at his little 2 year old level! Can’t say enough good things.

I can't say enough great things about this practice!!! My kids absolutely love going to the dentist. Both Dr. Trotter and Dr. Patel are so personable, and make sure that I don't leave with any questions. Two of my children have received orthodontic treatment from Dr. Patel, both with amazing results. Each and every employee treats our family like their own. I would give a 10 star review if I could!!!!

I have 4 children and they all see Dr Trotter and 1 sees Dr Patel for his braces. I must mention that one of my children is special needs and medically fragile as he has several health issues including a heart condition. Dr Trotter has been amazing with all 4 kids, especially him. She refers to specialists often during her care for him. Dr Patel consults with her as well regarding when it's time for his braces. I would not take my children anywhere else, there is no practice that will go above and beyond as much as Trotter and Patel does for each and every patient.
