Such conditions may cause difficulties getting in and out of a chair/bed, difficulties with walking/standing or climbing stairs, difficulties driving, getting in and out of the shower and taking care of basic needs. Our physical therapist will come to your/your loved ones home and evaluate the environment/safety and ability of the patient to perform basic daily activities and tasks (walking/getting into bed/managing stairs etc).
Under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed therapist, a home health aide is assigned where there is a specific need for personal care. Any duties the home health aide performs will be planned by you, the nurse/therapist and added to your plan of care. I just concluded my latest session and am again overwhelmed with the consistent, caring and innovative skills I have been treated with.
I would say that I have more issues than the average patient and regardless of that distinction the team swung me forward again.
The interface between my doctor's, Medicare and Orthotics was handled completely by them and favorably resolved with a minimal of input by myself.
Knowing that I have another issue pending I have no hesitation in bringing back my team.
